Detailed Reviews
We had an excellent stay here. Wonderful room, Kitchette, nice bathroom and the kitchen had everything! The grounds were beautiful and not a weed in sight, we also enjoyed lunch in the covered area. My only suggestion is add a few drink coasters so the lovely furniture is not damaged (new furniture).
Thank you again😁

The room was nice and the people were good to deal with. The bed was a 4/10 it was fairly uncomfy, the first night the hot water didnt work but might have been because other guests were using hot water too. The wifi went down very often the fromt desk would reset it but it would only last a few hours. Needed a late check out and was only able to stay an extra 10mins. Over all it was a decent stay not worth the price.

It was not our plan to stay here on the night we arrived. We were supposed to stay in Tobermory, but due to a significant highway accident that closed the highway for hours, we missed our evening ferry. With only a few hours notice, our options on the island were limited, so, when we booked Manitoulin Inn we had muted expectations.
The exterior is well kept and welcoming. The room (we had 2 queen beds) was dated but clean and comfortable. For the cost, some kind of breakfast option would have been nice, but there is a local bakery nearby that opens early and that the proprietor recommended. The best part of our stay was the service and kindness of the proprietor. Having explained our circumstances, we were given a modest but very meaningful (to us) discount -- in stark contrast to the hotel we had booked in Tobermory that gave no quarter despite the circumstances. He was friendly, informative, gave great advice about the area, and offered strategies to maximize using standby the next morning for the ferry. Auhtentic, sympathetic, welcoming, and informative. Great customer serice and a good stay.

We stayed there for a couple days last week and I was very impressed with the upgrades and the well maintained grounds . The lawn was kept green and nicely trimmed during the very high dry spell. Good reflection how the rest of place is kept up
Very comfortable queen beds a relaxing space. Friendly staff .
Definitely recommend it.

This is a good location. Rooms were clean and updated. Very quiet and peaceful. There is nothing negative could be said. the central location let us tour all of Manitoulin Island in two days with almost no back tracking. My wife and I would definately stay here again if we return to the island.

Motel is relatively central to Manitolin island making visiting key sites easy. The rooms are large well equipped and very clean. Mindemoya grill offers lunch and dinner and is reasonably priced.
Seasons Family Restraurant offers a really good reasonably priced breakfast. Gas bar, car wash is also located there.

Perfect central location, a great hooping off point to explore anywhere on the island. Comfortable bed, clean, spacious room with fridge, microwave coffee maker. A grocery store/lcbo is just up the street, close enough to walk, and Lake Mindemoya is just as close and can be seen from the front of the hotel. The grounds are pretty and well cared for, guests even have a gazebo to hang out in. Really lucked out choosing this place.

The hotel staff was friendly during check-in. The room itself was outdated, but spacious. There was no iron for wrinkled clothing. The wi-fi would go out sporadically, but was only out briefly. The water tap in the bathtub was on backwards, so the hot was cold and the cold was hot. Once we figured that out, we didn't mind as much.
We were central enough to visit the places we wanted to go to without the hassle of long drives. The hotel is location is close enough for a short walk to town.
Half our group was unimpressed with the hard mattress, the other said it was the best sleep they've had in months.
We would sometimes notice ants in the bathroom. The hotel rate was overpriced for our brief stay. It was also non-refundable.

Our cycling group stayed at the Manitoulin Inn and everyone was impressed! Our rooms were newly renovated, very clean, the staff was courteous and helpful. Also, we enjoyed getting together at the beginning and the end of the day in the cabana out back! The grounds were exceptionally well maintained. Everything had a neat, clean and well looked after appearance. We were delighted and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
