This place was simply very very nice: a place a few miles away was closed, so we drove on and came across this: now we have a choice within the area, so that worked out well. The good old limited choice set menu was excellent and the service likewise: we'll return, what more is there to say! Nice little town...

We stayed at the hotel whilst we were house hunting in the area so it was a great base. The staff we all very helpful and even though my french isn't the best and English is a little light on the ground I can only compliment all the staff for their helpfulness. The rooms are basic, but they are immaculately clean...

We stayed here overnight, a great little place in the town centre. Rooms a bit dated now however ideal for our needs, clean and pleasant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel secure parking included.

Just in the heart of the little town of Mortain, on top of the hill and looking at the relevant Church which share same important architecture. This family managed hotel is a lovely surprise. Rooms are vintage, not so large but clean and in good enough maintenance with some old pictures, recalling the local history and events. The inhouse restaurant has...

Went back twice this visit to Normandy to the Hotel de la Poste. To our surprise they accept dogs both on the terrasse and inside (as it was too hot outside on that day). Great service, with a lovely setting on the terrasse, and inside beautifully set tables - impeccable! We will become regulars I'm sure when we buy our...

We arrive really late in the evening but just with an early call we got the instructions to access the car parking and the room (although the reception was closed). Too big cushions to sleep well and little light in the shower but I think it is OK for one night also regarding the price (47€ double room). Service was...

We were forced to cut short our holiday to The Hotel De La Poste mainly due to the overwhelming paint fumes in our room. On arrival the Hotel was shut? we waited until 18:00 hours and were finally able to check in, we were shown to our room and given the key, there was no mention of facility opening times...

This review is for the restaurant only. I live locally and eat at the restaurant here a couple of times a month. It's astonishingly good value for the set meal, and surprisingly innovative for this neck of the woods. the staff are very friendly and treat us like family (please note, the hotel is under new management, so older reviews...

Be careful not to get caught out by the description of the rooms, luxury, standard etc. ask to see the room before you commit yourself. The rooms in general are clean and well appointed for this post war hotel. Much of the town was completely destroyed in 1944. However the bathroom was no bigger than a cupboard, and for the...

We visited this hotel for lunch last week and although they were very busy, well full actually, the staff were very helpful and after a short wait we enjoyed a very pleasurable lunch. Some of us had Plat du jour which was great and some from main menu which was equally good. The views across the valley from the hotels terrace are...
