We were here for a Kilikanoon wine Harvest dinner, with wonderful local seasonal produce to accompany our wines. Accommodation was very comfortable and homey with some individual quirky touches and a great sense of history. Lovely to walk outside and pick apples from the orchard..

From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by the best host, Daniel. He showed us to our room - cozy and warm - and then he took us and our dinner guests to the library and lit a fire for us. It felt like we were entertaining in our own home except someone was serving us!...

Fantastic hosts, elegant and comfortable surroundings, attentive staff and stunning views and the food is superb. Highly recommended for anyone wishing a relaxing and stylish break in an Irish county house hotel. This is the kind of place you wish all your friends and family could enjoy. We will be back.

We chose the Mustard Seed for our mid-size wedding (65 people). Great food, wine and a beautiful venue were very important to us and the Mustard Seed delivered all of these. From our initial meetings with the owner and subsequent meetings with the hotel manager as we planned our wedding we found the Mustard Seed professional, helpful and very considerate...

While i cannot comment on the overnight aspect of it, i saw the room and it was lovely. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, anyone we mentioned the dinners location to...

We visited The Mustard Seed with my partners family before we headed back to London. We all breathed a 'wow' upon entry as we headed up the winding driveway with the perfectly manicured lawns and well kept grounds. Upon entry John and his eloquent assistant greeted us immediately as we pulled up and we were ushered into a side room...

Quite wonderful from the moment we arrived. Luggage carried to room and offered tea or coffee. Very comfortable room with great views over garden. Most ingredients grown in garden along with honey and eggs from the roaming hens. Dinner was delicious - great hose wine and service. Very peaceful night was passed and great breakfast served by the Owner who...

We arrived at this charming country house on spec and were offered a fabulous room with a four poster bed and superb views of the gardens. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owner who treated us like old friends. Dinner was epic and the service was unobtusive but attentive. Nice touches included fresh flowers from the garden for...

We have visited the Mustard Seed for many years. Dan and his team never disappoint. It is not just dinner, it is a whole evening out that can only be described as akin to being a guest in a fine country home. You could stick a pin in the menu because everybody at your table will enjoy immensely whatever they...
