We stayed here only one night while travelling through Norway with our Tesla. The hotel is located at the end of the island when coming with the ferry from Horn. It has a beautiful setting and the rooms are, although not too big, functional. Our beds in Rognan were comfortable. Excellent service because we arrived with an almost empty battery...

The restaurant is the big draw here and a destination in its own right. The food, locally sourced was excellent and the service was very good. Breakfast offered a wide range of possibilities and was very much enjoyed. The water side room was adequate but disappointing. It looks lovely from the outside with the grass covered roof but is quite...

This is a very charming place in great nature. Seemingly driven by nice young girls, at least, the hosts stayed absolutely invisible - both in the reception and the restaurant. Besides of a big poster of the owner promoting his cooking book. Compared to the price, the standard in the room was simple. No network and no TV. But absolutely...

Vega Havhotell. Visiting The Vega Archipelago for the first time, we stayed two nights in Vega Havhotell. Evaluations on TripAdvisor were mostly “Excellent”. And that is absolutely deserved. The staff were youngsters from Sweden, and they were clever and service minded. No wonder that Norwegian hotels and restaurants prefer Swedes when they engage young people. Rooms were roomy, and everything...

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of attending a conference at Vega Havhotel. The scenery for the hotel is still fantastic, situated by the sea, on the North West edge of the Island. The service at the Hotel is excellent; they make you feel special as a guest. They are considerate, attentive and down to earth...

Vega Havhotel has an excellent restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner. The five course dinner includes mosly local ingredients like fish, scallops and lamb. The service is friendly and the location superb. The room standard is sufficient, but not on par with the excellent restaurant.

I have just attended a conference hosted at the Vega Havhotel (http://www.havhotellene.no/w1/). This was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is situated virtually at the end of the road on the Vega Island. This island is the center of the Vega Archipelago World Heritage Site (http://www.verdensarvvega.no/en ) The atmosphere and the personal service at the hotel are superb. The rooms...

The island of Vega and this hotel were mentioned in Lonely Planet, so we went there. Lonely Planet says that the hotel has a famous chef who prepares fabulous meals. But dinner is 650 NOK ($117) per person, or $234 for two. No meal is worth $234 to me. So after we saw the price, we decided not to eat...
