The location was stunning especially in the fall. Our room was spacious but spoilt by a grubby bathroom in urgent need of updating. Comfortable beds, a decent sized TV and a nice outlook were all lovely. The common areas of the hotel are spacious and well maintained. The restaurant was bizarre in that we had an excellent evening meal and breakfast one day but on another day we were told we could only have toast or a muffin for breakfast as they had no chef. Restaurant staff were all helpful and service was attentive and friendly. In contrast reception staff treated you like an inconvenience one minute then were delightful and helpful the next. Location is truly spectacular and I guess the winter sports onsite and nearby guarantee a regular clientele during winter with walkers and hikers the rest of the year. Potentially a brilliant hotel in need of some updating and proper management.…
We booked this hotel without knowing much about it while on a group bike tour between Toronto and Quebec. I loved this place from the great views to the impeccably clean rooms to the excellent food and of course the lovely, friendly staff. All gave their best to communicate with my unilingual group. Food was truly enjoyable and much beyond my expectations . Hope to make a return visit
We really enjoyed our stay the first time - great room with a view (luxury upgrade), great service, very nice. As we're travelling frequently to the region for family reasons, we happily stayed there again but what a different experience! We weren't initially given the type of room requested. We were then given another room which was, perhaps, on paper what we'd ordered (but for the view of the parking lot) but which was shabby and falling apart. For example, no warm shower for us! Simple things that are easy to fix had clearly been ignored. (And we'd reserved through the hotel's own website so it wasn't a case of an uncommunicative third party!) C'est dommage: c'est un tres bel endroit!
Decent hotel rooms, overall it's clean but would benefit from some fixing here and there. The food and wine at the restaurant are really good and tasty. Staff really welcoming. Nearby a Abbaye Val Notre Dame and wonderful cross country skiing (Ski de fond Montagne coupée) 1 minute away! 1 hour from Montreal, a great place in winter for outdoor activities!
Went for a week snowmobile trip only to return and find my 2019 Toyota Tundra and 2017 mission 2 sled trailer had been stolen. They told us they had great security.Dont beleive what the staff tells you. There is something very fishy about a hotel of its caliber not having security cameras or anywhere secure for you to park your vehicles. I was never told by them that there was a barn or area for you to park your vehicles. When I went to the management after the whole incident they basically shrugged her shoulders and said there was nothing they could do. I told them that I may have to stay at the hotel for a couple days because my passport was also stolen and they weren’t even able to comp my room until I could get some way back to the USA. Please, if you are ever thinking about a snowmobile trip to Canada stay away from this area. I went that week for the time of my life only to learn a lesson that will never be able to be erased from my mind. It’s hard to explain how you would feel to find out you have lost what you have worked so hard to accomplish.…
