Very good location, only 5min walk to the main street. And that 5min walk is not so darkness. Room was ok, reduced bathroom but everything what u need. Also cold/warm water. Good wifi, pool ok.Cleaning has only thing what i have to criticize, no everyday cleaning! But very good price of quality!
Pros: - The area is quiet and very picturesque, with beautiful cliff views - The basic rooms are large, and the air-con was very good (in our room at least) - The pool looked fine, though we didn't use it - It's only a 2 minute walk up a gentle slope to the main street, contrary to overly dramatic reviews here Cons: - It is a bit away from the beach, a 15-20 minute walk. - The bungalows are not connected or covered, so it gets very muddy when it rains - Several of the staff speak good English, but they left a Thai woman there during the day that couldn't check people in it organise any transfers or tours - It's overpriced for what you're getting - We asked them to help us book transport for us, and she strong armed us into paying for a minibus by lying and saying it was the last option for the day. We later found out we could have had door to door service for 300 baht less, at a time that was more convenient to us. Overall it's not the worst place it stay, but the swindling at the end was the most disappointing part.…
The resort is set a little away from the main streets of Ao Nang, it is approximately a 5 minute walk to the nearest shops and restaurants and a 15-20 minute walk from the beach. The scenery around the resort is beautiful which is possibly the only good thing I have to say about this place. My family stayed in a two bedroom wooden bungalow which was in desperate need of repair. The bathrooms were terrible; cracked bath tubs which let through the sand and mud which was directly beneath them, inadequate showers and dirty, stained walls and basins. Our bed linen appeared clean, however on stripping back the sheets one morning I noticed several blood stains on the mattress cover and mattress itself. Not impressed. Our rooms were made up every day and fresh water provided but I had to ask three times to have the stained sheets replaced. The breakfast is unacceptable, it is laid out on metal trays with a choice of yoghurt, rather old looking fruit and tea and coffee. The swimming pool is good fun, could do with a bit of repair work but no real complaints about that. I do not complain lightly but I feel this resort is old, dirty and generally inadequate. I certainly would not recommend it.…
Quiet and peaceful place near at everything. About 10 minutes away from beach. Staff is lovely and rooms were clean. If I have to say something negative that pool area needs some facelift but anyway who stays in pool if you have great beach near! If I come Krabi again I will stay here.
We have spent 6 nights in this place and mostly it was as expected however some details need to be highlighted. The hotel is a bit away from busy and noisy main road what is really good if you want to relax. The bungalows are placed in a big garden with view on the hills so again it's really a nice place if you look for natural environment. Breakfasts were simple but good enough. The problem concerns that the equipment is old and a bit damaged. It looks like no reparations or improvements have been done for last 10 years. For instance there is a swimming pool but you can't use it due to problems with filtering water. Also there was some construction works nearby (November) so expect some noice during a day. Otherwise the staff is very nice and they do a good job, rooms are cleaned daily, they are smiling and positive. One man (manager?) fixed our daughter's pram broken during flight and he didn't want any money for that. Mountain Paradise is a good option for nature lovers but be prepared for basic standard. …
5minutes walking along darkness and quiet street. Be caution whenever coming back at night, is better to rent a bike during your stay. Is very old type of bungalow which situated with natural environment . For natural lovers don't hesitate to try but make sure u can tolerate with the noises of insects or frogs
Pros: 1. Location, very beautiful rural area in the jungle. Away from all the hussle and bustle it is perfectly quiet, just the sounds of the animals and birds, beautiful. surrounded by the most stunning mountains, all very nice. Absolute best feature of this hotel! 2. Rooms are actually little independent cabins, was clean and had all the basic essentials, mini-bar, good air-con. 3. great swimming pool, swimming looking at the mountains. Cons: 1. Location! It is quite far from the main strip beside the beach, if you wish to walk it's a good 20-30 minute walk to the beach. You need to rent a moped, otherwise you have a 10 minute walk up a rural road to get a taxi on the main road. 2. Didn't try the breakfast but seen it, very basic and not perticularly appetising, wouldn't eat it. 3. Staff unimpressive. We were shown to our cabin by the owner's creepy 10 year old thai son who ran off at speed whilst we were trying to carry heavy cases with him shouting 'follow me' etc while running into the distance. Should be an adult doing this, as in any hotel. 4. Also caught the above creepy 10 year old boy looking into the side window of our cabin the next day with his hands and face up agains't the glass!! If guests or children had been staying and indesposed it is not on! Unacceptable and the family need to be having a serious chat with this boy! 4. The owner woman also was of little help when our bus booked to take us to Samui, didn't arrive, we asked her repeatedly to ring the company as we didn't speak thai, her husband did it once and then they ignored us. I have no doubt this was due to us declining to book our trip through her and went to another cheaper company. Overall: Would i stay here again, probably not. It's amazing how bad customer service and staff can put you off somewhere, otherwise It was cheap and did the job. Good for an experience however outside of the location, the rest was nothing special.…
We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We loved it! It was like a middle of the jungle. Pool was very nice. Only negative thing was that the man in the reception was quite pissed off when I went to ask for more toilet paper (there was another guy at the same time doing the same thing). But they didn't fill up the toilet paper when room was cleaned so of course we ran out of paper... Otherwise the hotel staff was nice and polite. Room/cottage was great! Not much insects (couple lizards and of course moskitos, but not too much). It was big, there was good air-con and shower was good and warm! There were also a cat family (mom and three kittens) hanging around our porch and eating cockroaches =) It took about 10 minutes to the beach. On the way many bars and Indian and Thai food restaurants so you didn't get thirsty! We will definitely go back!…
Stayed here from december to january and had a great time. The cleaning lady Did a great job and The women in The lobby was really nice and helpfull. There is a pool wich i didnt use becuse we rented a motorbike and i prefer the sea who isnt that far away either. But it is hot walking. The pool looked nice and clean though. I could deffenitly stay here again. They also offer Washing your clothes for 30 bath and have there own taxi driver, who was a bit expensive comparing to the ones you find out on The Street.
I Love here . Very nice place . Nothing can describe impression over the photos of me and friends. I think you should visit here. It's quiet and privacy. Good for oxygen in the morning. Not far from the beach. You can stay in a place with high mountains stand out. A green tree. And walking or riding a motorcycle to the beach.
