I wondered how this place was going to be after reading several reviews. The location is really good in the middle of the strip, it is also a no frills ok 1 maybe 2 star hotel. It was our base for two days. There is a small tattoo parlor downstairs which also is the reception/ check in place. We ate nearby the market. Early in the morning we left to Railay where we spent the day. At night Ao Nang is crowded with tourism, not my cup of tea. The day after that we left for phi phi early in the morning
Good place for stay a couple of night, the room was big and the bed comfortable, is the cheapest place for sleep in ao nang but is not an hostel, so deserve a visit if you are travelling in a budget. Location js perfect just in the center of ao nang, next to mc donalds
This place seems like a good option because it's cheap at 750 BAHT per night and right in the centre of everything in Ao Nang, a few minutes walk from the beach. HOWEVER there are a few things to be aware of. Firstly when we showed up they didn't have any record of our booking even though we booked through Agoda and we had the confirmation receipt. Whether this was a fault of Agoda or the hotel we'll never know but thought it was worth mentioning. They were full so we had to find elsewhere that night. We still stayed for two more nights and the rooms are well priced and pretty well equipped but the Wi-Fi only works in certain rooms. Also, it's so close to everything that it gets noisy at night. The worst thing for us though was that on the day we left there was no-one there manning the reception so we couldn't contact anyone to find out where our taxi was that we had already paid the hotel for.…
When it comes to the price we can't complain to much as it's bang in the center of the town surrounded by restaurants, bars, and a short walk to the beach and to be honest it was the cheapest we could find at 500 baht a night compared to the 800 that every single other hotel was charging. The rooms are big and spacious with air con, a fridge, a desk, a big bathroom but we chose for the downstairs room with no window, which wasn't a problem for us as we were only in there to sleep. (It cost more for the rooms with windows) The wifi was rubbish, we could barely use our phones on it, and it would often completely stop working, when we asked reception they were rude and didn't offer much help. They also switch the wifi off at night and then don't turn it back on until 11am. ALSO it's loud as there is a restaurant above you and the last negative is that the shower is a bit s*** and cold, that's all really though. Price wise it's the one of the best options in my opinion for a budget in Ao Nang as it's so cheap and is in one of the best locations, the rooms are also clean which we didn't expect much as people complained on reviews that it wasn't, but yeah we would book again if we came on a budget. It's just a bit of a let down when staff are rude and not very helpful. …
My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we loved it. The room was clean It is situated near by to the Ao nang Beach, McDonalds and 7 Eleven. However, their Wifi was quite bad. Had to go to McDonalds to get a proper Wifi access. Other than that, everything else was good.
We stayed there for two nights. The rooms were basic but very clean and tidy. They even put flowers on the nightstand and provided fresh drinkingwater in the fridge. The owner was very helpful in terms of organising our onward journey such as bus tickets and day tours for very reasonable prices. If you stop at Krabi for transit to the islands this is the perfect place to stay, with the beach close and many nice restaurants around.
We arrived to this hotel and the first checkin the young boy who was kind and smiley... he took us to our room and was really helpful with the luggage... the following picture will show you how terrifying and untidy this place is... they have you improve cleanness if they want people to come back, and write good reviews
Close to everything, we arrived without a place to stay and decided to go there. Best decision ever. There was'nt a lot of people, so we kinda felt like the whole hostel was just for us! Not Noisy at all, the room was really big and one of the most comfortable i have been to in my 1 month trip. The staff was amazing and we booked a tour from the hostel. The location is perfect too, we could walk arrived either to the left or the right, and there was things to see everywhere, by walking distance. Highly recommend this place.
Me and my girlfriend are backpackers. We lived in many hostels, guesthouses etc. This however, is the worst we've ever stayed (!) There were ants ALL over the room and in our bed (!) the ceiling was leaking so they just taped it up. The AC didn't work. We showed it to the reception and after long discussion we finally got a new room. Afsin - ants everywhere and The AC didn't work. I really won't recommend this to anyone. It's our 6'th time in Krabi and you can get much better even cheaper. We left hotel The same day to a nearby one; Zabava Hotel. Same Price, same location - just Way Way better.
I want to say, this is Small hotel but feel like Sweet home, Chandee Hotel is truly amazing and peaceful to Stay, very Friendly Staff, excellent hospitality and Management, best place to stay with friends & family and they also organize all tour packages too.
