My friend and I visited here just for a day and it was excellent. We had a boat trip of the mangrove lined creeks and a village tour. The volunteer staff were very welcoming and it was very interesting to hear how they run the business in a family / village oriented way. They have been able to bring benefits...

I have been travelling for 9 months, and this is one of my absolute favorite places I have visited! The whole set up is so great. Near the small village, the people of the village build 7 round stone houses where you can spend the night. They are basic but provide you a good bed and matrass, a muskitonet and...

An excellent change from the tourist area and an opportunity to see the real Gambia. If you get the opportunity then take it! I came with a tour operator (arch tours) but looks straightforward to organise alone. Basic but clean accomodation (far exceeding my expectations) and great company. The activities were really good especially the tour of the village and...

The camp is located in a secluded place, close to the rive and mangroves, about 2.5 km from the main road. The landscape is beautiful and the place is very quiet. The accommodation, bathrooms and showers are...

Basic accomodation but a very warm welcome - genuine concern for the environment and sustainability issues from the local people, they'll make you feel at home. Huge meals and outstanding walks and scenery nearby, perfect for the naturalist ( brown necked parrots, crested eagles etc. ). Very few mozzies...

This camp is located next to a small village which owns and runs the camp. It is set right on a river creek which is a tributary of the river Gambia. The accommodation is in basic rooms which are very simply furnished with a bed and mosquito net. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Tasty meals are provided and these...
