In the beginning I only wanted to stay for one night, but soon I knew that I would need to stay longer. This hostel has everything I want from a hostel. It has a great atmosphere and quickly feels like home. Perfect for a solo travelers, but also for friend groups who want to party in the city. Everything can... More

Rosalba and Edgar are both very friendly and helpful! They put in effort to make sure you really enjoy your stay and are fun to chat with. The hostel is always very clean. It is walking distance from the ocean, restaurants, bars and shops. I would highly recommend staying here!

This hostel is amazing! Rosalba and Edgar were both incredibly accommodating! Rosalba is so sweet and Edgar helped me with translation (I don't speak Spanish well and he speaks perfect English!) as well as getting me to wine country and back! Even with a very short notice he was able to schedule/accommodate :) I would highly, highly recommend this hostel... More

Let me start by saying that out of all the hostels in Ensenada this one has the best location, walking distance from major avenues, touristic places and the port. 7/11 across the street and nice Mexican restaurant half a block from it. This is a beautiful 2 story hostel. Decoration is traditional Mexican with a young touch with vivid colors... More

Ensenada Backpacker is a very good hostel very close to the heart of Ensenada. The staff is very friendly - Massimiliano and Rosalba were VERY helpful and kind. Their bathroom is the best hostel bathroom I've ever seen (i've seen many). There is a kitchen, an awesome hammock overlooking the city, and a great patio that is perfect to sit... More

A nice hostel with very friendly staff and located right in the center of Ensenada. There was no lock on the door of our dorm room which might be a problem for some people but we did have a locker for our luggage. We had to share one communal shower and bathroom with 2 dorm rooms which wouldn't have been... More

Ladies, *always* check if there are any reviews from solo female travelers in your age group! This hostel had a "no locks on doors" policy, and refused to change my room to one of the many available ones with secure locks (!!!!). I am a young female traveler in her 20's, who checked the scanty hostel reviews before booking. Only... More
