Each room is unique with its own creative theme, using repurposed items that might otherwise be sent to the landfill. Vicko (artist and painter on site) is a great host and is rightly proud of his creations and gave us a great tour of the property. I would recommend a visit to Yaneka Hotel as a top priority when visiting La Paz!

The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and the highlight of the hotel. If I had visited this hotel when I was backpacking around the world in the 80’s/90’s… would have loved it. Visiting La Paz with my wife for some quick business @ the Marina didn’t really need to pay for a hotel with beach/pool/resort features. There is an eclectic element of the hotel that makes it unique. But… It could use some routine maintenance and a good cleaning. It is what it is. Backpackers hotel: Five Stars! Tourist/Business hotel: Three Stars

The family that runs the hotel is very, very friendly and fun. We had a great time. The rooms are individually and artistically designed, the ambience, the collections, great. It starts already in front of the hotel with the horse... Everything within walking distance, Malecon, harbour, restaurants, shops. Recommendation!

This is the most unique place I have ever stayed. You could probably be here for weeks and still notice new chachkas every day. The collection is remarkable. The hotel is great for travellers and it's right in the centre of the city, 2 blocks away from the Malecon and the beach. It's surrounded by plenty of shops, including a supermarket 3 blocks away. There are a couple of fridges available to store your food. The owners (Miguel Jr & Miguel Sr) are wonderful, but the stay is made even more pleasant by the cheerful and very helpful Teresa. She keeps the rooms very clean and fresh sheets and towels are always available. I stayed here for just over 2 weeks after moving from my Airbnb, which was too far from the centre. I wish I had stayed here for the entire month I was in La Paz. It really felt like home, yet a vacation at the same time. If you plan to stay more than just a couple of days, contact Miguel Jr directly via WhatsApp or text at +52-1-612-157-3555 for the best price. His English is great! I look forward to returning next winter.

So for the price and location it was not bad. Kinda cool set up.... But some things I didn't like... Ac didn't work, comforter was a little stained, non fitted sheets revealed slightly stained bed, room was rustic but a bit too close to feeling dirty, smelled musty and even more musty after our return from hanging out in town. Stuffed monkey outside our room driving a car, that I'm sure was cool but appears a bit like it has mange. I'll admit. If stay here alone ....but coming with a significant other is a bit disgusting.

This hotel and museum is a very interesting place to visit, it is a rustic place with a lot of things to see, the location is excellent, the staff is very friendly and attentive, usually in other hotels have the check-out at noon But they gave us more time without extra charge, an economic place with a little magic!

We have not stayed at the hotel, but usually give the lobby a visit during our annual visit to La Paz. It is full of antiques, curiosities, art and more, all for sale. Well worth a look and it's free although they hope you will buy something!

If you like to go outside of the box, stay here! We intended to stay one night but stayed 3! Clean and cozy beds!! For me, a good bed says it all but this place has so much mire. I'm pretty sure you won't find anything to compare anywhere. Continental breakfast was laud out on the hood of a car. Another car is in this small loby with a monkey driving. Stuffed monkey. We love la paz and Yeneka was just icing on the cake.

When visiting LaPaz, Yeneka Hotel is worth a visit if not spending a night or two. The hotel if full of eye candy throughout. It is possible to sit in the courtyard for hours and not see everything! To top it off, hosts are charming and engaging. We have stayed in two downstairs rooms and both were a bit stuffy, because the outside windows faced a small alley and didn't have much air. The rooms have ceiling fans, and comfy beds.

If you're the type that appreciates weirdness...then you'll love this place. Although the owners consider this place a "museo", it long ago crossed the line into "dusty junk collection". The rooms are clean, but feel more like oddly painted jail cells. Beds are some sort of closed cell foam. Not particularly comfortable, but not too bad. Our room locked with a padlock. There is no TV or telephone. The place is located 2 or 3 blocks from the center of the Malecon. Parking is on street. We stayed here for 2 nights, but we had alternate accommodations lined up, just in case this place turned out to be more creepy than cool. I recommend that approach for others as well.
