If you’re just even just the slightest bit eccentric or just looking for something different (really different) the Yeneka is for you. I stayed for over a week and every time I looked around, I noticed something different. The décor consists of an amazing (an understatement) of memorabilia depicting the roots of Mexico. Agriculture, mining, the desert, the sea, life...

We stayed here for three nights last week (Jan 2014) at the suggestion of a fun couple we meet at the Hotel Cabo (a similar type hotel). So much fun to explore Mexico and its charm. If you are cool staying at a funky place for very little money you cannot do better in La Paz, maybe all of Baja...

Stayed here from 12/27/13 to 12/30 and then again when we came back from Loreto on 1/4. Paid 480 pesos a night for 2 people. Roughly $36. (18 bucks per person). I really liked this place.. It was very unique... Met several people during breakfast while we stayed there. They have free breakfast which consisted of coffee, crackers/biscuits, jams, cereal...

Probably one of the most schizophrenic places we've stayed in, Hostel Yeneka stays on the right side of crazy. Ignore the hotel's one star rating - its staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are big and the beds comfortable. The courtyard, where a basic, but free, breakfast is served, is stuffed full of bric a brac, resembling a charity...

Greeted with tequilla and shown to our room "erotica" we had to fight our way through what has to be the best collection of random goodies on the globe! This hotel is basically mad as a box of frogs and we quite frankly loved our time here! 2 min walk to the beach, comfy beds and good wifi. The communal...

This is the most unique hotel if ever seen. I have never seen this mich stuff together. The coutyard is completely cluttered and every room has some unique items and/or wallpaintings. It's an old place with old stuff. No modern comforts, but lots of fun! The free shot of tequilla uppon arrival will make you sleep great anyway!! Never seen...

We stumbled upon this hotel while looking for the hostel and had seen reviews on internet so after a quick walk through to see the rooms we decided to stay. Free shots of tequila, internet, breakfast and hot water were advertised as selling points...plenty of tequila was given out nightly at happy hour but breakfast was cookies and coffee and...

We are a couple in our late 20s, early 30s and we used to do a bit of backpacking. I think we were both sad to realise that those days are over and we now prefer a bit more comfort. For this reason I don't think we'd come back to Yeneka. It would have been a great place about 8...

Great find! Although it is budget accommodation, the service recived and welcome, were first class. This is a facinating hotel which resembles a cross between an art gallery and antiques shop. It is family run of which we were made to feel part. I particually like the two courtesy tequillas each on an evening. This is an inspiring place, which...

As others have mentioned the Yeneka is not for everyone, but if you've got a sense of humor and are young in spirit you'll enjoy the place. It's got enough ambience and atmosphere for several hotels. The courtyard is a great gathering spot to meet other travelers. We stayed here for the better part of a week on an extended...
