This is about our7 visit to this location over the past 8 years and have always held a high respect for the resort throughout this time.....but this visit was different. The nightly entertainment is all but gone except for every other night. Activities such as pool side bingo and the margaritas bicycle have disappeared. The music at the pool side bar does not exist anymore as well. During the months of November and December the TVs in the Starbucks area are all focused on the football games with obnoxious loud crowds in the lounge yelling and swearing at the TVs. The guitar playing of Juan has now been toned down with his talents being wasted on this. He should be brought back up to the Market stage where people enjoyed him and his amazing talent. The nightly shows have close to being gone due to the early start times and people still being on dinner. They deserve better. The waiters in all 3 main resurants are still fantastic and very personable with Manuel and the very talented bartender Jacky (Adrian) making it a fun experience. Manuel in the Casa Mia shows great professionalism in everything he does as do the hostesses Abigail and Esmeralda. In the beach bar David still rules even with the music being toned down. Big shout out to the Elite conceriege team with Sam, Lupita Diana and Kiki always there to have a laugh or give a hand. Included in these is also Alma who has been with us since day one and is always there with a listening ear. At the Elite level we also should be able to request our Elite conceriege upon arrival. On the Wild Loreto team Carlos Angel is probably one of the most knowledgeable guides we have ever met and is great at what he does. For the after hours the hottubs should be left open til 10pm. The fishing we usually do did not happen due to having to go to Loreto town to hop on a boat there. We have also noticed a lot more supervisors and managers this year which is not always a good thing. We will be back but not at US Thanksgiving time. Lot of people at this time who have no vested interest.

Our trip felt frustrating in the beginning as we stopped at the grocery store with our Wild Loreto pickup and waited probably 1.5 hours to get our groceries delivered to our room (after calling). There were also some communication/probably language barrier issues when calling to ask for dishwasher soap which wasn’t provided. On the 3rd time, we were able to get it after someone bringing us dish soap and then coffee.
But, overall our trip was fabulous. Cecil got us into Casa Mia after this with us all hangry and we had an excellent dinner. I have a gluten allergy and was worried based on other reviews, but all went well. We had delicious gf bread at Casa Mia and they have gluten free pasta (which I confirmed they cook separately). There’s a lot of corn tortillas around for Mexican food and the ceviche is delicious. We had gf pizza via room service which was just ok.
The free kids’ club from 9:30-5 was great!! The ladies there were so sweet and my kids went for a few hours a few times and loved the activities, especially cooking. This was a critical piece to really enjoying our vacation.
Everyone was so kind and accommodating and we loved our time here. The drinks were great and happy hour 2 for 1 drinks were really a deal (usually $10 or less!) The activities team was amazing as well and the free shows every night was a huge highlight of the trip (especially for our kids)!

Wow! Gorgeous. Service was exemplary and food was great. We came at the end of the music festival and loved the live music!
Best of all was our concierge, Bernardo. From day one, Bernardo went above and beyond, finding distilled water for my husband's C-pap machine, making sure our room was perfect and showing us where everything was located. The snorkeling excursion Bernardo booked for us was spectacular. It was so wonderful to have someone so friendly and attentive to seek out for questions and help.
Beach is beautiful and fish abound. The kayaks and paddleboards were readily available, and staff were helpful and informative. Watch out for the rocks-high tide hides them.
The pools were sparkling clean, lots of lounge chairs, and the food and beverage service was top-notch.
This was one of our favorite vacations.

This was our 3 rd trip here and it proved to be consistently exactly what we would hope for . Beautiful Resort , Amazing accommodating and extremely helpful Staff. At the beach bar JoseTorres & David Ortiz went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of even remembering our favorite foods and drinks and the kitchen staff Marcelo Carlos were quick to prepare delicious meals . Favorites were the shrimp skewers and mango margaritas . Rafael, the manager at the Marketplace restaurant always greeted us , even remembering us from our past trips. He made sure our needs were met and would go out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed . Yaki the bartender at the marketplace was not only lots of fun but also incredibly efficient. Kudos to the hostesses at the restaurants as well as all of the other servers not mentioned but who were also excellent. All of the staff at resort from the housekeeping to the maintenance workers would greet us respectfully and with kindness whenever we walked by. The grounds were kept in pristine condition and all the buildings and restaurants were kept impeccably clean even to the point of polishing the hand rails and cleaning the windows daily. This is truly an amazing resort !

This was our first time here. The resort is Beautiful. Very friendly staff. However, you have to make reservations at 2 of the 3 restaurants on site. We attempted to make reservations while we were there, there was no availability. We had to eat at the buffet the whole time. I also tried to make a reservation at the spa, when I requested a reservations they said NO they were full. Didn't even ask what I wanted or what day. The pool tiles are coming off the bottom of the pools, watch your feet. The walk ways are very dark at night, watch your steps.

Traveled with my mother who is a Villa Group timeshare member, hubby and adult son.
First the positives: the service was excellent (Manny at the pool) and all the staff at the Market and Casa Mia. Rooms were cleaned quickly and necessities restocked. The pools are wonderful and we were lucky to be there at a time when the resort was not full. We never had to search for pool chairs or wait for service. Very pleasant indeed. The beach has been much improved (according to my mom who had been here 10 years ago) and there were plenty of umbrellas and chairs down there too. The addition of a wooden walkway and bathrooms help make it an easy spot to hang at for the day. The snorkeling 4 hr trip was wonderful and worth the expense.
Now the not so great…. We were told when we booked to ask, at check in, to have our two rooms near each other (my 82 yr old mom needed our assistance) Concierge would not accommodate us and put my mother 4 levels above us. This is how timeshare folks are treated or maybe just elderly women. Room acoustics are horrible. We could hear our neighbor’s conversations; actually what they were saying. And although we were told we would receive a 25% discount on tours for going on timeshare talk we were not given that discount upon checking out. Lastly, during the catamarans tour we took the boat hit a rock and almost sank. We were lucky to make it back to the marina. The resort refunded us but nobody from management checked in to see how we were doing. On the whole, the location is beautiful, pool, restaurant and cleaning staff excellent but some of the negatives were big ones.

We are members with the Villa group over 15 years. In the past we enjoyed this resort tremendously for its beach, golf course, fabulous food and spa. However, this trip we are disappointed with both the hardware and services.
First, there seems to be plumbing issues with sinks in bathroom and the kitchen. Water drains slow. There are missing tiles on the bottom of the swimming pool. It is easy to scratch your toes when jumping around during water aerobics unless you wear booties. Some of the kayak paddles are missing one or both the rubble cover(s) for gripping.
We bought all inclusive packages for the entire week. The bed turn down service knocked our door 5 out of 7 nights at almost 10pm when we were already in bed. The club house restaurant used to be so elegant and classic. We are disappointed it is now turned into a noisy shop with mediocre food and pushy servers. The service by the pool is hit and miss. Edson is the only that is attentive and polite to the guests. A couple others are ok and will help when asked. However, one server by the pool is often times grumpy and unwilling to help. It is important that the management puts people who enjoy people interaction for customer service jobs. Otherwise, it may result in an unhappy situation for both the employee and the customers.
The service and quality at the Market is consistent and good! Casa Mia has good food and good people though it could use more servers during dinner hours. Danzanti restaurant is classic. I would highly recommend Danzanti dinner!
Given the difficulty to travel to this location, I expect some improvements to justify the long journey to this resort.

The golf course is beautiful however the resort is a rip off. They booked 8 of us rooms and golf for 2 nights and 3 days, we paid upfront but our cards were charged for extra golf, drinks etc even tho we had an email stating it was paid for. The service was poor, the bags were left in a room for us to collect ourselves. The food was mediocre at best. Save your money and go elsewhere

The trip was the worst vacation I have been on. The resort is run down and room has not been updated. Service at the pool was very poor. Over half the drinks I ordered did not show up. I did the all inclusive and definitely was not worth it. If you did not golf the was not much to do. Service to get to the Town was very limited. The concierge Christina was very rude and unprofessional. Getting your room cleaned was almost impossible they would show up late in the day always when you were trying to shower and relax before diner. The staff was courteous but very slow. The would not go there.

What a spectacular place, very unexpected experience and the views rival only the best. All inclusive is worth every penny. The food was good always and multiple restaurants on site to visit. The nightly shows were impressive and I have to say they are prepared to give you the ‘Play Bill’ kind of performances. The hotel is new and very luxurious with Spa and Gym and Dance hall, you name it they had it. Everyone will tell you go see the sunrise from the 17th hole, it’s a nice hike but worth it, bring your best camera because you will want to snap a picture. The water is clear you can see to the bottom and during kayaking we can see every fish there was. Must see. Now one small complaint was the presentation services they try to sell you then upgrade you and some of the staff are not friendly in that area so we were disappointed after speaking with Scott trying to upgrade our member package. Next we had a city tour which we booked online for 3 persons but when we arrived the tour desk representative told us they needed 4 persons to provide the city tour and would not schedule us for a city tour. We were disappointed after the manager said as a courtesy they would pay for the 4th person so the 3 of us could go but they did not schedule with the tour and made us wait for hours at the front desk as each representative told us a different story and said they had no idea about our tour. So we are out $200 and then pay $20 per person to have a taxi take us to the city so we can walk ourselves which is fine but to be fair we booked the tour three months in advance. I’m sure they were tired of us sitting at the front desk for hours but we were also tired of begging and asking them to take us on our city tour…
