I've stayed here twice and I was pleased both times. The grounds are maintained very well, and the rooms are simple but clean. They have plenty of parking, night time security, a clean pool, and good air conditioning. It's a short walk to the beach or to town. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The restaurant has odd hours...

Very typical older motel has a pool and on-site restaurant. Rooms are very very basic and well-worn. Towels are thread bare and you only receive 2 bath towels. No soap, no shampoo. Bring your own and a hair dryer, if you need one. The beds were rock hard with flat pillows. Did have A/C but it was cooler that night...

El Cortez was filled with Paella people last Friday night, so we ventured to the much quieter & cleaner Las Palmas, one block inland from the El Cortez. Room was very clean, way nicer bedding, and shower! Also quieter. Very nice pool deck, views of the water as well. This property treated us nicely, was nice & quiet at night,...

The room is bare bones - no coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge, or any other modern convinces. Free wi-fi only works near the office. Hot water was just warm. Pool is not heated. TV is from the 1980s or earlier. Room came with cracker crumbs already in the bed and later that night I was joined by ants. I thought...

Hotel is dated. Its showing its age. Rooms are clean but small. Bed is so-so. Noisy AC...but hey AC. WIFI does not work in rooms. Close to malecon without actually being downtown. good parking. Gate but no security.

We went there with friends, so didn't pick it. If all you want is a place to sleep and take a shower, it's fine. If the 'hotel resort' is important, I would suggest you keep looking. We couldn't even end the night there, as the security guard kicked us out of the bar when he got tired. It's within walking...

This place surprised us because of the superb and personalized attention, so far only received in Omni San Francisco and Dreams in Cabo. The food is outstanding and we were honored to meet the owner, Alfredo, who personally came and welcomed us, he drank a tequila shot with us, really a very fine person. The room was spacious, clean and...

We were disappointed with the appearance and services considering its advertising. The restaurant was closed for breakfast and there was no coffee/tea in the room. The pool had no water in it eve though there was no maintenance or repair going on. They claimed to have wi-fi but it was agonizingly slow

This hotel is located on a hill-top 2-3 blocks from the beach. You can see the Sea of Cortez from the front patio, which faces the ocean. The rooms are nice and comfortable and a good value for money. The most notable feature of this hotel is its Alfredo Restaurant, which is named after the inventor of Alfredo sauce, who...

Las Palmas Hotel is a really good place to stay and meet some of the local color in town. It has a restaurant and bar called Alfredo's that is really, really fun. It's named Alfredo's after the man who invented the alfredo sauce. Yes, it true, and he taught his son how to cook. Today, the elder father and son...
