Mazatlan, Mexico

Whenever my friends come down to Mazatlan to visit, I bring them to stay at La Rosa. Quiet, beautiful, filled with art and right on the beach - what more could you want? Fun, funky - and a great restaurant as well. Definitely worth a stay.

We enjoyed the clean, quaint lodgings and the close access to beach and places to walk. We wish we could have stayed longer as it is such a rejuvenating place and we had a kitchenette where we could prepare our own food...even a place in town to buy limited produce. The owners are friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Las...

Just after Christmas we took the family consisting of my wife and I and our 16 month old puppy, my wife's daughter, her husband and their three girls, ages 10, 7 and 7 months. We all live full time in Mazatlan. I'm the only Gringo in the bunch! We rented the two bedroom, two bath Beach House for the kids...

We go to Barras de Piaxtla from Mazatlan for swimming at the very user friendly beach and we always take a delicious lunch at Rosa de Las Barras. The lobster tails are always beautifully prepared and served with shrimp (if you want it) and a nice salad and rice. They don't serve alcohol so we take our own and they...

We spent one night at La Rosa to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was just perfect! The casitas were comfy enough with a small fridge, microwave , hot plate and coffee maker. (Bring your own filters) The bed was equipped with mosquito netting which we did not need this trip. The restaurant is really a kitchen and patio but...

Okay, one should be able to say one nice thing about a place. Here it is: it is remote. Now for the rest. Unfortunately, this is the worst place I've ever stayed. The creepy linens were dirty, tattered, and clammy. I was afraid to sleep in the place for the mosquitos and spiders. Even the toilet was a nesting ground...

We had the beach house and were very happy with our choice, two bedrooms, two showers and pet friendly. The beach house is on the beach. The beach is about a mile of shallow beach protected by an offshore reef. The food was cheap and delicious, from the French toast to the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp. Recommend this for a...

Excellent location, nice people, great mariscos. Love it here! You cant beat the value, being right on the beach, and though it is "rural", you can get everything you need in the village. An endless amount of natural beauty to explore. Everyone is very helpful and friendly here.

Disappointing and not maintained. There was a dead smelly cat in the garden, mice running the rafters, a broken fan, air conditioning that barely worked, a big hole in the garden fence, big enough for a person to enter and no way to secure the back door..making for a non secure habitation. The bathroom was nice, except for the faucet...

I live in Mazatlan and this trip north about an hour to a true sleepy fishing village for Gail's mosaic class was the perfect getaway. She picked us up in Maz and was the most accomodating hostess I have ever met! Her staff is helpful and prompt to assist. I would suggest bringing bug repellent for yourself. Gail even made...
