My wife and I had the occaision to stay at this exclusive resort in early March '06. Overall, a really great spot location wise (stunning Vistas etc.) and the Resort itself is really well laid out and archetecturally interesting. We also met several nice guests.. most are American. Things are a bit expensive but since we were getting our room...

This is my first review so please bear with me, my wife and I stayed at this resort in December 05 and then went back the first week of February and got married there. Being a platinum member of starwood preferred I have been lucky to have stayed at some of the nicest resorts and hotels in and around America....

We stayed at El Careyes for 5 nights in mid-February. Even with the excellent reviews on here, our expectations were surpassed! The hotel grounds are truly beautiful, the service was exemplary, and the place is very peaceful. The hotel was full when we arrived because they had a wedding. Many of the guests checked out on our second day there,...

My wife and I went to El Careyes for our honeymoon in December 2005. We flew to Puerto Vallarta and opted for the hotel-sponsored car service to save us from the hassles of renting a car and driving. From the minute we stepped out of the car at El Careyes to the moment we left everything was perfect. Upon getting...

My husband and I have just spent four nights at El Careyes in a resort view room in the last week of January. We found it to be a beautiful spot and loved our time here. The resort is certainly isolated and it does take at least 2 and a half hours to drive here from Puerto Vallarta since the...

We we have going to the west coast of Mexico for 15-20 years. Spent many vacations in Acapulco, Ixtapa and Puerto Vallarta. We love the weather there - it is guaranteed. We went to El Careyes because we thought it was very luxurious. The pool/beach area is beautiful. The room was OK but the bathroom was teeny tiny. You could...

We specifically came to El Careyes to stay in a quiet, peaceful, eco-friendly environment with excellent service and did we ever get ALL those things in SPADES! The resort was clean, beautiful, meticulously run. The people working at El Careyes are extremely friendly and seem to be happy and proud to do an excellent job. They were attentive without ever...

After visiting Mexico for over twenty-years, I spent part of our honeymoon at El Careyes. Everything was great: authentic Mexican with a laid-back, but high-end feel, spacious, well-appointed rooms, excellent food, excellent views, the staff was as good as we have experienced, and the overall vibe was very positive. We highy recommend this hotel. A couple of noteworthy issues: there...

My wife and I stayed at El Careyes in late Sept for the first half of our honeymoon. We were looking for a nice, quiet place to relax and unwind after all the wedding stress and Careyes exceeded all of our expectations. The resort is beautiful, with lush scenery, fantastic views, and breathtaking sunsets. The service was fantastic, the staff...

This is the best to relax. We have been twice in less than a year and will try to go at least once a year. The second time, we stayed at a beachfront suite with a private pool. Woke up every day right in front of the ocean. You have to go on a fishing trip and see all the...
