My husband and I really enjoyed this hotel. It is small but charming and you are easily able to walk to all areas of the hotel - including the beach club, which is about a 10 minute walk away (or you can go by shuttle every half hour). The pool at the hotel is very quiet, especially in the afternoon when most people gravitate to the beach club, and we enjoyed its serenity (when we didn’t go to the beach club ourselves). There is no need to save chairs at this hotel, there are always plenty of comfortable loungers in shade or sun - at the hotel or at the beach club. Oddly, the music played daily by the hotel pool was old classics by the ‘rat pack’ and it was interesting listening to ‘I’m dreaming of a White Christmas’ in February! The same music selection was played daily by the pool but we didn’t mind - a bit quirky, but we still enjoyed it. The beach club is truly beautiful! The view from the infinity pool over the ocean is stunning and the servers there were always friendly and provided great service. The food was definitely repetitive (mind you, we stayed for three weeks) - but we could always find something that would satisfy us. The breakfasts were delicious, lunches were good and dinners …okay. It would be nice if there was a larger lunch menu option at the hotel pool - it basically only offered chicken wings, hamburger, French fries and soup - otherwise you had to go to the beach club for the buffet there. We did not enjoy the red wine and bought our own bottles of wine from the little Italian chaucuterie store across the street because the house wine disappointed. The cocktails were definitely watered down and extremely weak, despite the long pours straight out of a liquor bottle. I have to admit that the cocktails and wine disappointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower always had hot water (morning or night), and the air conditioning in the room worked flawlessly to keep us at a comfortable temperature with little noise. Our room overlooked the main restaurant where they had evening shows nightly. These shows were excellent and showcased incredible talent! We worried that we would be kept up by noise from the shows due to our room proximity but the shows ended by 10:30ish and then it was completely quiet. Wi-Fi in our room was really weak but we could get a strong signal from the buffet restaurant or at the beach club, so we managed okay. We enjoyed the ability to refill our own water bottles from the water machine in our hallway as the temperature was consistently hot and we wanted to stay well hydrated.
We would return to this hotel because, despite a few drawbacks, we really enjoyed our three week stay and we don’t often want to return anywhere! The hotel’s location is awesome - an easy walk into town - a close taxi ride to many different beaches - and the marina is just up the street (here you can book various excursions). This small hotel is really charming and the landscape and walking paths are really beautiful!

We loved Binniguenda Hotel and its Niru Beach Resort. We received excellent service from ALL the staff but we would like to acknowledge 3 people: Amado at Niru as well as our bartender Freddy and our server Marbella for exceptional service.
We had a “Select Room” which my wife enjoyed receiving a carafe of coffee delivered to our patio every morning at 7:15. Select Rooms also receive a bottle of wine upon arrival and have four 750ml bottles of liquor (liquor dispenser ). You also get better liquor at dinner/shows.
Binniguenda is in the best location in Huatulco. It is right in the marina area where you can walk to Santa Cruz beach, 4 banks, markets, restaurant and bars right outside your door. You can also walk in 25 minutes the “Tourist Corridor” (a safe, wide paved path) to La Crucecita (where the large market “Mercado 3 de Mayo” and other shops are in town). It is only a 2 minute free shuttle bus ride or 7 minute walk to its Niru Beach Resort.
We spent the bulk of our days at Niru which has a beautiful heated infinity pool right on the beach. The beach is clean, quiet and very calm as there are no waves in this sheltered bay of Santa Cruz Beach.
Would highly recommend Binniguenda and Niru to anyone. Great service, great staff.

Our two week stay was excellent, from the day we arrived till sadly the day we had to leave. First time staying in Nov. Everything is lush and green as opposed to the dry winter months. Check in went smoothly, the front desk personnel were very helpful and always there to assist you. We stayed in the select room which had added features from our last stay, an Alexa, room purifier, room deodorizer, liquor dispenser, and retractable clothing in the washroom. The grounds are all well kept, staff are always cleaning everywhere. The restaurant at the resort is open for breakfast and supper, lunch is provided at Niru.,but if you so choose to stay at the resort the snack bar is open,from 11 to 5. There are changes due to covid,as all buffet meals are served by kitchen personnel.,you indicate what you want and they place it on your plate as you moved own trebuchet. We liked this as it moved everyone quicker and food area was kept neat.desserts are self serve each dessert is presented in a bowl, again an excellent idea. The Niru Beach club is beautiful, front entrance is inviting with many Alebrijes , the infinity pool is saltwater treated no chlorine, there are many loungers with umbrellas, an adult only two tiered section which is shaded with loungers.apool bar, and the main lunch restaurant also a snack shack if one does not want trebuchet. Every meal we had was very good. Desserts are self serve on a stainless steel cooling table. There is a cabana and hot tub area available at an extra cost, there is also a Tezmacal available. The pool has a shallow end and children loungers, also a play structure for children. To access the beach area is a nice winding staircase which has a bar, table and chairs,loungers with umbrellas, also two hammocks. Also in a natural setting are Adirondack chairs for one to sit and enjoy the bay views. There are kayaks available to use instructions are given by hotel staff, and from what we observed was quite a through instruction on the use and where you can venture out into the bay, life jackets are provided. The nightly show are very well done, a lot of hard work and preparations are done for each show which start at nine in the main dining area at the resort. In closing since we have stayed here before we have made many friends and look forward to seeing them again plus meeting new ones. The staff here truly enjoy working here and their smile and service are genuine. There are too many staff members to mention that went above and beyond our expectations, they are our friends (Familia) now. We will return!!

This review is based on a family trip with 2 children under 4 . This hotel in my opinion not for younger children or families . The food is very limited in selection and not available when we needed it . The current schedule is breakfast available 7:30am to 11:30 am , there in no available food between 11:30 and 1 pm in which a snack menu is available at the hotel or you are required to go to the beach club for a more buffet style meal . Dinner does not start until 7:30 pm . There are no fridges in the room so we had to go to the store and buy Styrofoam coolers for some snacks / drinks / milk which they could not provide us ice in which the store across the street was usually open around 930 .My parents stay here for a few months out of the year and we're helping me bring in some grocceries and they actually kicked them out and would not let them help bring in the grocceries because they did not have wrist bands .
We ended up spending a lot of money eating out to accommodate these hours and you could imagine how much of a nightmare it was to take two young children to resturants multiple times a day .... not to mention a waste of our vacation .
They have a "kids club' which does not open until 10am ... it's actually locked so the kids could not play until that time and there was noone there during the day doing activities .
Our room was situated by the buffet / entertainment area . The music was so loud and kept us up until 10/10:30
I do not have a problem with this but for anyone coming here bring a water bottle as they do not have bottled water, there are a few machines throughout the hotel to refill .
The main lobby bar is not open until 5 pm , even if someone is there they do not serve you . They usually have popcorn or some sort of snack and absolutely refuse to give it to you until 5pm .
Now I do have to say that under different circumstances(without children)this hotel / resort is quite lovely if we didn't have to worry about tracking down food. It is situated in a beautiful area and most of the staff were amazing . Perhaps if you werent worried about when you ate/ drank it would be OK for you . But a coffee machine or some fresh fruit available all day would be nice

We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay at Binniguenda, unfortunatelly your travel agency did not adviced you about our services, we receive every day families with kids from all ages, unfortunatelly in Mexico we have diferent schedules than foreing people, sometimes this is difficult for some travelers but all our services are posted in our website and also we provide a printed sheet with all our services during check time, this helps all our travelers program their vacations. Currently we are not providing bottle of water in our rooms we are avoiding plastic in all our hotel as part of a program, instead you have a water dispenser and glasses that can be refill on demand. We are very sorry about your stay at Binniguenda but we invite you to visit again Huatulco as you can find another hotel according to your family needs. Our vacation from December 8 to 23 was excellent! Much of the credit for making our vacation so memorable goes to the staff of the Binniguenda/Niru Beach Club/Niru Ocean Suites. This is one of the best group of staff members we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the moment we arrived we knew we would be well cared for during our stay. Some of the staff we would like to acknowledge are the following.
Gerson at the front desk was so helpful and kind to us. He was always happy to see us and we enjoyed our conversations with him. He helped us out several times during our stay and we can't say enough thanks for all that he did for us.
Aurelio the bellman helped us out our first day and after that always met us with a smile and hola. We had a problem with one of our suitcase when we first arrived and he did not hesitate to do what was needed to help us get into our suitcase.
Daniela the concierge was always happy to talk with us every time she was in the lobby as we were going through. She was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our conversations with her.
In the buffet at the Binni we had the pleasure of seeing Ana, Lorenzo and Saul almost every morning for breakfast. Their service was great and we appreciated them all. I wish I knew the names of all the great staff at the hotel but unfortunately many did not have name tags.
Freddy and Daniel, the bartenders at the beach club were fantastic! They made me the most yummy no alcohol, no sugar drinks.
Also at the beach club we enjoyed talking with the security guard Emlio.
For the last for days of our vacation we moved over to the Niru Ocean Suites. Our room there was beautiful with a view of the bay that was incredible. The pool and Bi'nisa restaurant were amazing! Thank you again to Gerson for helping us with upgrading our stay. Also at Niru Ocean Suites we'd like to say a big thank you to Deyanira and Tayna for all their help. In the Bi'nisa we had the pleasure of seeing Jonatan, Noemi and Axcel.
The Binneguenda is a quaint Mexican hotel with so much charm. All of the staff are amazing. The hotel is extremely clean. The rooms are update and very comfortable. The show can be a little loud at night depending on where your room is located. The food and drink quality is really good. I enjoyed the Atole selection at breakfast. The only thing I would change would be the late dinner times. The buffet does not open until 7:30 and the specialty restaurant 8:30 for dinner.

As first time visitors to Huatulco (and we have never been huge fans of all-inclusive resorts) I have to admit that we were charmed both by the area and this resort. With perfect weather and accessed by a non-stop flight, our week spent here was memorable. The Niru Beach club (easily walkable or take the provided every-half-hour shuttle service) gave us beach access to kayaking or SUPs, a great lunch buffet and bar with attentive service. The room AC was quiet and worked exceptionally well. Breakfasts were very good, the Tangolinda dining room serving a-la-carte themed meals was excellent (we tried the French cuisine) and while the evening buffet got old quickly, it gave us an opportunity to try nearby restaurants (Oro Negro just down the street was great and the Villablanca hotel served a great array of meals). Taxis are plentiful and cheap and we always felt safe at night. So many people we spoke to are so fond of Huatulco they return over and over again. This is a small resort (and the reason it captivated us) and felt "traditional" Mexico (and is frequented by Mexicans, which says a lot). We will return.

We have just returned again from another very enjoyable stay at the "Binni" and the hardworking & friendly staff always amaze us with their welcoming attitudes. The Niru Beach Club has its following and we visited it a few times during our one month stay, but we are most appreciative of the main hotel's location where we spend most of our time (when we are not out walking/exploring nearby Santa Cruz & La Curciceta, and the numerous uncrowded beaches such as Violin, Organo and Conejo, to name a few). Live music can be enjoyed in the evenings @ the beach in Santa Cruz, the Cuban Bar across the street from the Binni, Alfredo's, and some restaurants near the park area in La Crucecita. The management continues their superior quality control of this lovely landmark and we always look forward to seeing our many Canadian friends here over the years... Enjoy.
