Rooms are great with views Staff are excellent Buffet restaurant is sometimes inconvenient to get to Beach is great. Shuttle is fairly consistent Liquor selection is poor with almost nothing available above the basic local brands.

We are here now March4-14 ,came for 10 days book in September of 2022 very early. First two days were good. The they decided to close the main pool and totally re- tile . This then left only the small beach club pool for the whole resort vey busy no chairs. Every day they tell you pool open tomorrow , but tomorrow never comes . Final straw was five days in and our whole building 10 has no air conditioning or very very little . I’ve asked and repeatedly asked. There answer was to come in and turn our ac to 10 degrees as if that was going to fix it. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful here most of meals were hit and miss but we always found something to eat. The staff are hard working and great ,But to close down a whole pool in the middle of busy season is Unacceptable . We have been to Huatulco five times and rave to our fiends back home how much we love it here. All other resorts we’ve stayed at never had we had no pool or AC I will be contacting our west jet rep today to see if she can make some head way on our behalf…

Huatulco is a truly special area. Park Royal is excellent value for the money. Very clean and the staff are helpful. We had some spectacular meals at the buffet (authentic Mexican) and some real misses as well. All in all and excellent family vacation.

Resort seemed a little out dated they are working on it very comfortable beds and big rooms. Yet the staff makes this a 5 star resort! They go out of their way to accommodate and please highly recommend. Food was always on point even the buffet was good and had daily options nightly shows and entertainment. Will definitely return.

Lovely hotel. Lacked entertainment and music. Dj at the bar is stuck in the 80's Spanish rock. Needs to be more current and dance type music. For a hotel on the hill, carts should be more efficient. Waited 15 minutes to get picked up at times. Mostly walked down the hills and to the beach since they were always running late. Hotel member team is real pushy. Lacked entertainment in the beach area. Not much security at beach area. The people selling daily packages were steps away even under one of the hotel canopy that could've been used for a hotel guest. If security was there could avoid that.

So this is our first time traveling to Huatulco and ended up at the Park Royal also first time doing an all inclusive so we didn't know what to expect. Not sure if it was just our luck going to this place or if everyone has had the same experience as we had and just now i read some of the reviews. I know I should've done it before we went but either way here is my review of the place. We showed up early so we didn't expect our rooms to be ready they managed to get us set up pretty quick the staff at the reception was very efficient. They gave us the low down on how things work and set us on our way. We had 3 rooms for 3 couples all just above the upper pool. Rooms are big but the beds are small and unless you get the executive suites you end up getting to Full size beds but just push them together and it becomes a California King! Rooms are very well maintained with cold AC that worked great since it was pretty warm. It has 3 bars 3 Pools and does have access to the beach. Yes you have to get a ride since it is a walk up and down the paths and to the beach but the carts are frequent and wait times are minimal. Both Restaurants are well staffed and the service is amazing for those that complain about the communication issue understand you are the foreigner its your duty to be able to communicate to the staff but regardless every place had an English speaking member if not all members of the staff or at least from what i can see could understand what they were requested. The food was great all of it from the drinks to the entries the snacks everything. The beer choices are slim and its keg beer but its understandable the bar tenders were very attentive the waiters , waitresses and bussers all worked together as a team. The Captain at each restaurant was on top of it. We have traveled to many places and i have to say this place was on the top of my list not necessarily the hotel itself but the staff is what stood out what made that place special yes its not a 4 star resort but it has a 5 Star staff and that makes all the difference. I seen lots of smiles and a few not happy customers not because of the staff because some people cant be pleased there is always a Karen in each group and those are the ones that complain. I didn't see anyone upset everyone was cheerful. They have plenty of activities reminded me of summer camp this is just for adults :) Again the staff is who made the trip worth it for me. So if you decide to visit Huatulco give this place a try lot cheaper in cost and worth every cent. Don't forget to tip! Remember there is more then Bell Hops, Waiters and Waitresses there are Porters The housekeepers and the Towel attendants the drivers that pick you up and take you to the beach. Everyone one working there makes that place what it is and to me it made it a place i will definitely go back to.…

Unfortunately I am one more person who complains about the staff, not all but most of them do not have the correct attention to the guests, the bathroom in the lobby is unpleasantly dirty, and the lobby staff does not have the slightest delicacy to show you or ask if You already know the facilities when you arrive before the room delivery time, the staff at each bar station are the ones with much better service, the pool in the upper part is in a very small place and the lounge chairs are not enough due to the high influx of guests, in the restaurant of the beach club there is no pest control and the food is unfortunately tested by flies that fly throughout the area..., in the beach club the space and amenities They are also insufficient for the number of guests who require a shade or lounger..., as the building is located on a mountain, access to the rooms is by means of internal transport that does not It is frequent and is requested practically on demand, the gym does not count as electronic equipment such as treadmills...,…

I would not stay here again, although the sky pool was nice, the restaurant upstairs was sad. The buffet was atrocious. So unappealing and old dry and how can you not even make good potatoes I saved some disgusting photos of the buffet I wish I could share them with you.
