Excellent conditions, facilities, staff/services, and meals (we opted for breakfast included and also had lunch and dinner once). It served well as a base for our first trip exploring Bahias de Huatalco. We are glad to recommend it for other travelers.

Stayed 15 months ago all was very good. Not now !! Most days no hot water, when it worked the flow was just a trickle. The waiters need training Service at the restaurant poor, slow and wrong orders. Not recommended. Disapppinting for our special stay.

We are a Canadian family that spent a week here. This is a smaller resort / hotel that was very clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, nice views, good food and had excellent service. The wifi worked well from anyplace we were here as well which our kids really liked! From check in to check out we enjoyed our time here. The front desk was very welcoming, helpful with getting us taxi’s, places to check out, restaurants etc. The cleaning staff kept the rooms clean and fresh smelling daily. The bartenders, waiters took good care of us. The food was good and reasonable priced. Even the handy man who was fixing lights or painting around the place was friendly. They have two pools, one a bit more shaded and the other one has a view of the ocean. One thing that stood out here was the very friendly and helpful staff here. They all seemed to care and were all very friendly. Some spoke more English than others but for us not speaking Spanish they were really great. There are some stairs at this place so if you have mobility issues it might not be as desired however was perfect for us. There is a small beach here but is not really for swimming. Arrocita beach is a 5 minute walk away where we walked to a few times and you can swim and do a little snorkelling. There is a restaurant there in which you can rent tables or buy some food and drinks to get a table. You can also just find some sand and sit down. The hotel is about a 5 minutes cab ride into La Crucita (60 pesos) and the cabs are fast to arrive. If you are looking for a clean, quiet place with excellent service this was a great place. The price was decent as well.

Front desk male staffers who are condescending, rude, and terrible customer service! The hotel support staff is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Happy to make you comfortable, except for the front desk male staff. -Front desk male staffers are condescending and rude! They accuse you of wrongdoing just because I asked for extra towels. Hotel only provided 2 large bath towels and one hand towel, no wash clothes. -Lots of stairs and no beach access. -The water pressure in the shower is terrible, my lady had a hard time washing her hair.

The setup of the hotel is all wrong and illegal if you have mobility issue. There is no mobility way for people with mobility issues. There are stairs everywhere and no lift . The reception is high in the gods from the restaurant and minor pool area and inaccessible for people with mobility issue. Even with accommodation on 1st floor you still had stairs from restaurant to room. At the time of our stay the major pool which was advertised and enticed us to book was not working which was a real blow. We have complained and have received no compensation for this which was an advertisement lie. The minor pool was not managed properly. It had a handful of loungers which were taken up rapidly and no shade. Otherwise you could sit on hard wooden benches bordering the pool and giving you no chance of true relaxation. Also I witnessed a man jumping in the pool with his shirt and sandals on, not even showering before doing so and no one was there to stop him. I did complain but this was never taken up. The management was totally unsympathetic to my very polite and gentle request for a goodwill gesture towards all those facts as we had to cut our stay short in this hotel and incur extra expenses in another one. The nicest thing about the hotel was the kindness of the restaurant staff and the security guards at the parking entrance. Fir the rest don’t waste your money on this hotel.

My wife & I stayed for one night before our flight home the next day to Seattle on the 16th Dec 2022. The hotel wasn’t full but they made us wait until 3pm to check in. The room was clean but no hangers to hang up clothes. No covers on the bed only thin sheets. We were in the what they called the newer building. Walls were thin could here the people next door talking. In the bathroom only 2 bath towels, 1 face towel no washcloths. The next day we went to checkout we were told they had to do a room inspection before we could leave. We’ve never had this happen before & we never destroy or damage property. We found this annoying delaying our departure. They sent a maid to check the room we gave her the key cards for the room. After we ordered our cab for the airport the Security Guard wouldn’t raise the gate until he verified we returned the keycards which we gave to the maid. The only bright side to staying here was the restaurant staff was friendly and professional with great food. My wife & I our Flight Crew for two different major U.S. Airlines were not use to being treated like we’re gonna damage or steal something. We won’t be staying there again or recommending it to our co workers.

I cried leaving to come home too. The area is beautiful, safe, and not as commercial or developed as other touristy areas of Mexico. Also, Huatulco is very clean and they pride themselves on this. They also are a big travel destination for the eco-tourists out there as most of their power (if not all) is produced by wind turbines. Ok on to the hotel - Very great location. Nice and quiet with incredible views. You do either need a rental car or call cabs to go to and from the hotel into town or to other beaches. There is a beach walking distance but the hotel does not have beach access. The owners go out of their way to help you with either calling cabs, coordinating activities for you, etc. I cried leaving them just as much as leaving Huatulco. I will go back. It has been almost three years and I think about this place all the time. Again, very affordable and easy area to navigate. Loved the hotel. Loved the people and the town. Excellent vacation here at Villas Coral.

Thank you for this comment, we are a few days away from our reopening and we are sure that you will love this new Villas Coral. The paint is new, the pool area, and restaurant, we worked hard to give it a modern-elegant look. We are sure that you will be very happy on your next visit.

My wife and I enjoyed a week at Villas Coral celebrating our 25th anniversary. We loved every minute of it. Great pool. Nice rooms. Great service. Excellent view. Of course being there during the low season meant we had it mostly to ourselves, which was what we were looking for. Luiza, the owner/manager was a big help and all of her recommendations for dining out were spot on. Javier was always there to call a cab or meet our needs. Israel served us a wonderful Mexican style breakfast with great conversations every morning while we enjoyed the perfect view as we ate. The rooms were clean. The hotel was as we remembered it from 7 years ago, but it could use a paint job. Being away from the tourist scene and enjoying tranquility is what this hotel is all about. We would come back in a heartbeat. Pros: Beautiful, clean, away from everything, great pool, breakfasts, private. Cons: No wifi in the rooms, you have to go down near the office to get it. You have to go out for dinner. (This was not a negative for us as that is what we wanted to do.) For the money, location, and what they offer, you can't beat the price.

Don't know why I haven't written prior to this, probably because we wanted to keep it to ourselves. We have stayed at Villas Coral in the Villas anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks at a time and enjoyed it to the fullest. This is an older hotel and could greatly benefit with some updating however, the cleanliness of the rooms, pool and staff make up for it. The hotel is set right on the coast and the view from the resturant is spectacular, you can enjoy a traditional breakfast and watch the fishing boats, cruise ships and better yet if you're lucky enought see whales. All the rooms face the ocean and the little further distance from town is worth it. We frequently walk into town and at a liesurely pace its about 45 min. to 1 hour. Looking forward to going back in 2012.
