I would like to start by thanking Gaby, the Sales Mgr and Julian the Property Mgr for a wonderful stay at their magnificent and luxurious Cosmo Residences. We stayed for 20 days, from Nov.10-Dec.1st, 2017. The service and hospitality from all parties was outstanding. My wife, Marilyn, daughter Karen and Joe Metcalfe and grandson Grant (7 months) were thrilled with the accommodations, D3-1, a 2 bdrm, 2 bathroom unit comprising 1960 sq ft with 2 balconies, which viewed the ocean and botanical gardens and Central pool. Cosmo has 4 pools in total, in different areas of their immaculate garden grounds. One does not even have to leave the property to enjoy all the attributes of this exquisite area located at Playa Arrocito, a beautiful tranquil beach, ideal for young families and snorkelers. Cosmo has an onsight restaurant, Ocean Bar & Bistro with a nice view of the ocean and Playa Arrocito. It's a huge dynamic palapa rising to a pinnacle of about 30' or more. Be sure to take in the Happy Hour from 5-6pm....Cesar will greet you and you can enjoy the drink of your choice for half price.....a real good Margarita for 45 pesos. Their menu is outstanding....Ocean is highly rated by Tripadvisor....its in the top 5 for all Huatulco and rightfully so. Eugenia is a master chef and the quality and presentation of their cosnsiderable menu is absolutely first class. We enjoyed many evenings there. Our grandson, baby Grant wanted to go there every night for his daily dishes of frijoles and Guacamole.....not a scrap left on the plate.

They offer laundry service.....ours was picked up by 10am and returned within 4 hrs. Also the garbage was picked up early every morning from our doorstep. Housekeeping services are also provided as per clients needs.

The also provide on their area of Playa Arrocito, beach chairs and swinging palapa beds, which are really comfortable. If you require drinks or food, service is provided by Ocean restaurant staff , located nearby.

All their property pools are really special.....all different and readily accessible. We enjoyed the Central pool, which is ideal for young children and the incredible Peninsula infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean, which is more adult orientated.....especially at night with the star concept of lighting, making it very romantic.

As a couple, we have been coming to Mexico for almost 20 years.... and without any doubt whatsoever, our stay at Cosmo was our most enjoyable. The staff, property and accommodations combined are without parallel. Thank you all for a terrific stay.....we will be back.

My husband and I spent a week in Cosmo 7 3c, a two bedroom condo with ocean side balcony. Everything was spectacular. The condo was spacious, new, clean with a lovely view of the property and ocean beach. The staff were also amazing including the servers in the Ocean bar and restaurant. The construction noise has now stopped and will be until at least April.
You can walk on the beautiful grounds to the ocean and snorkel or pick one of the three amazing pools to lounge by. A short, and inexpensive cab ride also gets you to a number of different beaches and bays. You can go to a different one each day.

Huatulco, itself is so beautiful and clean. The people are amazing and happy to serve and sell their wares, many which are handmade and exquisite. If that's not your "thing" then a simple, "non gracias" is acceptable and they will pass by. We just loved it, the food is great and cheap, with an incredible variety to choose from.

The airport is one of the easiest and quickest we've ever experienced in Mexico. We will definitely be going back, and will be staying at Cosmo again.

We rented a three bedroom, three bathroom condo in January. When we arrived, a guy showed us where it was but there was no tour, conversation, or anything. We were on our own to figure things out. Our condo was very nice with a beautiful view. The grounds are very nice but rather confusing. We had a group with the ages between 4 to 64. We met many nice people there, most were from Canada. This is mostly retirement aged people here and most were welcoming to our little kids but there was some "crabby old people" who complained about the kids. They were supervised at all times but apparently were too noisy at the pool and ran in the hallway sometimes. They played in the fountains at the pool which none of the adults thought was a problem but got turned in for that. Overall, this is a great place but not exactly a kid friendly place as we truly didn't feel that they did anything worth getting "reprimanded" for. I don't want to judge the whole condo by the actions of a few but it did seem rather petty. Make sure and visit the Ocean restaurant while staying there, the food and drinks are very good and the staff are super nice.

Our group of 5 families booked 3 separate units at Cosmo for our annual Spring Break vacation. The entire property is very nice, but not very kid friendly. We were constantly followed and watched by the staff to the point we felt like we were under surveillance. The staff at the Rental office is very helpful with assisting in booking day trips and any other needs.

We stayed at the Cosmos residences for 6 nights late July. We rented condo 9a-3, a 3 bedroom on the 3rd floor of building 9. The condo was about the nicest and largest condo we have ever rented. It was brand new and very comfortable. The deck had nice views and was huge. I would highly recommend renting this very condo if you have a decent sized group. There were also 3 full bathrooms. The property itself is very well done with great gardens and multiple pools. One comment I would make is that on the main peninsula pool their were trees growing up blocking the view from the infinity pool, so instead of looking down at the beautiful 2 bahias on either side you are looking at trees.

We were there during very low season, the property was maybe 5% rented at most which was great, having the whole place to ourselves. It was super tranquil.

The property had a restaurant named Ocean on it as well, the restaurant had fantastic food and drinks.

There was some construction going on but most of the big work has been done so it did not make a tremendous amount of noise however there are a large number of workers mulling about, nothing that we had an issue with.

The beach on the property is also a public beach called Arracito iirc, it is really beautiful and has a basic restaruant on it that makes a respectable ceviche.

We scheduled a few different activities in the area with ease, I would recommend Carlos Rodriguez for tours by car, hes at 958.587.1726. He had a nice suburban that we took to visit Purto Angel and Mazunte, both worth checking out.

We also set up a boat tour to spend the day checking out the neighboring Bahia's. We were set up with a nice boat, not a little la lancha, out of Santa Cruz.

We had a very nice dinner at a restaurant nearby called 7 Tavoli run by a real character of an Italian guy and his wife. They make all the pasta by hand, definitely worth trying. We also went to the Quinta Real on neighboring Tangolunda beach, it has a nice bar overlooking the beach from up on the hill, spectacular views. Also the Peninsula bar was not open by the pool which was unfortunate, we had to bring our own drinks to the pool with a cooler.

Overall we would highly recommend Huatulco and the Cosmos residences if you are planning a trip to the area.

Love Huatulco and love Cosmo. We have been coming to the area for many years. It is safe, beautiful and fun. The best holidays we have ever had. Love Cosmo Residences! Wonderful staff and beautiful condos. We will always stay here when we come. The Ocean Restaurant, Arrocito Beach, beautiful grounds, gym and multiple pools to hang out at make it perfect. Love this place.

We stayed in unit 2B-1; 3 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 4 ½.

If I could, I would rate our stay as 4.5 stars. Almost everything was great! The condo 2B-1 is managed by Bayside Realty. They provide an information packet via email and printed out in the unit that is a great help. The condo is exceptionally well-equipped including fresh flowers, condiments, cooking utensils, soap, and towels. Whatever we needed was there. The beds are comfortable, the A/Cs work well, the unit is large and well appointed. We enjoyed being in the condo - it felt luxurious and really added positive vibes to the whole vacation experience! We did a lot of cooking in the condo. Daniel picked us up at the airport (arranged by Bayside) and on the way to the condo we stopped to shop at the grocery store. We were met by a Bayside rep at the condo, and received a lot of help getting our luggage and groceries into the condo.

The Condo is by the beach and in the jungle, so we expected bugs. The ants however attacked our first meal very quickly. We ate outside on the patio, and in less than 30 minutes ants has swarmed a small dribble on the range. So be warned to not leave food out even for short periods of time, and to clean up any spills immediately. Also, be warned that the locks on the patio doors do not work well. One door I could not get to ever lock, and others locked automatically no matter what I did - we could not close them while on the patio without them locking.

There is a water dispenser in the condo that will provide cold or hot water from the large water bottles (about 5 gallons) you can purchase through the security at the front gate (delivered to your door), and we made a lot of use of it. One problem is the water dispenser has the smallest opening on top that I have ever seen for inserting the water bottle. As a result, each time I changed it out I spilled a lot of water on the floor. There is likely some trick to changing out the water bottles, and this information should be added to the condo unit information packet by Bayside when they get it figured out (the person who met us at the condo did not even know the water dispenser was there - we asked him about dispensers since we saw a big water bottle in the pantry and he said he did not know of any in the unit - the dispenser is behind the pantry door, so you have to get inside the pantry and shut the door to see it). Another item of note, the dishwasher is not anchored and does a poor job at cleaning the dishes - we pretty much had to pre-wash everything.

The ocean and pool views from the condo were better than we expected. There is the large rock blocking a lot of the view, and this was easily seen in the photos before we rented, but the rock actually helps with having some privacy. The condo location is great. It is as close as you can get to the awesome peninsula pool (a walk of less than 30 seconds). We were far enough away to not hear the construction of additional condos being built. Playa Arrocito and Oceans restaurant are just a couple minutes’ walk. The birding is good (we particularly loved the orioles, the hummingbirds and the white-throated magpie jays).

Arrocito Beach is beautiful! We went to the beach Sunday through Friday and it was never crowded (though we were there during the off-season). Is was very swimmable for adults and teens; small kids need to be watched (while we were there 2 hurricanes were forming off the coast, yet the waves were relatively small compared to other Pacific beaches we have visited). All but one day, we had the Comso mattress loungers to ourselves. One bad item is that there is a large government installed sign between the loungers and the beach that blocks almost the whole view. The sign says the area is closed, but does not say why. Directly in front of that sign, Cosmo erected an even bigger sign that blocks the government sign from exterior view. The result is an eyesore of a visual blockade that is about 7 feet tall and 14 feet wide. Since we planned on using the loungers at the beach a lot (and did so), this was a major problem for us - indeed it is the #1 issue we had with our stay and the major reason why we did not rate it 5 stars.

We used the restaurants at Playa Arrocito only for drinks since we did our own cooking for breakfast and lunch. They are happy to bring your order over to the Comso loungers. Prices are good for being on the beach.

We ate dinner at Oceans Restaurant once, and it was really good. The restaurant opens at 2:00 PM most days, and the staff is very friendly. They will also bring orders of drinks (not sure about food) to the peninsula pool. We recommend patronizing Oceans during a stay at Cosmo, and the food and view are worth the trip if you are staying elsewhere.

Although there are 4 pool areas on the property (2 of the pool areas have 2 pools, for a total of 6 pools), we spent almost every afternoon at the peninsula pool (it is actually 2 pools). It has great ocean views and plenty of nearby trees for bird watching. My kids are 7 and 4 ½ years old and they had a ball! They loved being in the pool more than being on the beach. It was the off-season, so we had the pool to ourselves practically every minute we used it.

We did a 3-hour boat tour one morning. It was very pleasant. We were picked up at Playa Arrocito. The coast is beautiful! We took advantage to swim at a small isolated beach and then to snorkel at Playa Entrega. On the way back to Playa Arrocito we looked for dolphins and turtles and were rewarded by finding a couple of turtles engaged in an "embrace" - remember I have small kids!

It is easy to get a taxi by contacting the security at Cosmo, and the cost is very reasonable to/from Santa Cruz ($43 pesos). We came into town to explore, shop and eat rolled ice cream almost every evening. Just note that the taxis have a hard time navigating at Cosmo, so you may have to go looking for it and flag it down after you call for one.

2 items that Bayside can improve: 1) A couple of Bayside employees showed up at the condo unannounced. They hopped up onto the patio/deck from outside and watered the plants. They then came into the unit from the patio and introduced themselves and left via the front door. This was a little shocking since Bayside did NOT establish a date and time with us regarding any such intrusion, and the employees did not ring the doorbell first - they were just suddenly there. This should never happen! 2) As noted above, Daniel provided our transit to/from the airport, and this was arranged by Bayside. This was very helpful and appreciated. However, it was not disclosed until after we were brought back to the airport for our return flight that there was a charge of $400 pesos. The charge is reasonable and worth it, but there is no question it should have been disclosed by Bayside before arrangements were made. The way it was set up by Bayside made it seem like it was included in the rental rate.

Overall, the experience was excellent. The weather wonderful! There was not the oppressive heat plus humidity we have experienced at other beaches. Despite the hurricanes that formed off the coast, we only had one day with some rain (there was also some rain at night which is just fine). I would love to return and would rent this condo again, and indeed, if I could afford it I would buy a unit at Cosmo - it was that good!

Beautiful modern facility right on the beach with a 5-star restaurant on-site! The beach is a little crowded & the sand is pretty rough compared to the other Huatulco beaches but still an amazing place!

Ocean bar and bistro is my personal favourite in Huatulco, great staff. Best burgers in town. Ocean, fish and bacon burger are all amazing and huge. We have a condo at Cosmo and enjoy every meal we have there. Can't wait to get back to our home away from home.

Building 9 is the furthest back. Building 3 is directly south of. Holding 9 So views from 1 and 2 floor will be garden. 3 floor may get some ocean but limited. Anything in buildings 1, 2 or 3 is ocean front. Building 8 has views of peninsula. Top floor of 7 has some ocean as well
