The reviews are mixed for this hotel but don't fray.We had booked two rooms through expedia, but upon arrival they only had one room available with 5 beds! The one room was large and included a warp around balcony..This was quite the upgrade. Oscar at the front desk and another female staffer were truly accommodating and prompt. Wifi is not...

Wanna start saying that the location of the hotel is good. By the rio cuale , mercado de artesania and Starbucks just 10 min walk 😀. The beach only 3 blocks away. Staff is friendly , my room on the 4th floor was small but comfortable. Flat screen tv , safe ( you have to leave a 200 pesos deposit...

Great service and value. Two single beds in the room. Quite a small room suze varies. Convenient location for the old town. My bed was hard as a plank. Some rooms have softer beds. Mine was very uncomfortable. Not uncommon in PV. Street noise was significant. Higher rooms are quieter. No lift so if you're on a high floor be...

was pleasantly surprised with Hotel Belmar. check-in was a breeze and chose to upgrade to a double room. rooms are kept clean. we especially liked the convenient water cooler that was placed on each floor for easy access to drinking water. the hotel also provides a glass carafe in the room. there are tons of restaurants within walking distance; really...

Checked into the Belmar last night. What a great spot. I have a corner room which has a wrap around balcony. The room is clean safe and perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. If you are new to PV or Mexico and a light sleeper. Invest in a good pair or ear plugs or a white noise app....

Overall, the five other people I travelled to Puerto Vallarta with and I enjoyed our experience at the hotel. It's not in a resort part of town so you can immerse yourself a bit more in the local culture. The ocean is a few blocks away and there are some fantastic little restaurants, shops and places to drink all within...

There three days at the end of December including New Years Eve. Perfectly decent place to stay if you don't require luxury accommodations. Room was small and a little awkward but clean. Stairs were tough (we were on the 3rd floor) and no elevator, though staff was very gracious and eager to help with carrying our bags up to the...

Glad we chose to stay at this hotel in December 2014 (TA only goes back a year). It's in the heart of old PV and most everything is just a quick walk away, which is a huge plus. What particularly stood out to me about this hotel was the art that was everywhere - bold, wonderful color. Just loved it!...

The hotel is close to the bars and restaurants and walking distance to the beach. The room itself is clean but very small, no closet to put your clothes and the TV is so close to the ceiling and the bed is very stiff. It is very noisy being right by a busy street so you'll hear all the cars...

Great location. You can walk to the Malecon. It is next to Rio Cuale. In the heart of the Barrio de Tango. If dancing is your thing, this is a great, inexpensive place to stay. Nice cafes nearby and inexpensive shopping district, too. This is a neighborhood with many Canadian & US expats.
