Los Quatro Vientos is one of the best finds in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel is located high in the hills above the city and you can truly get a feel for neighborhood living in Puerto Vallarta. The sounds of the city waking up each morning are things I recall frequently. I love this hotel because it is quaint, boutique, colonial...

We've been to this place many times over the past 20 years, mainly for drinks at the fantastic rooftop bar and for dinner at what may be one of the last remaining truly colonial restaurants in town. In 2003 we spent 4 nights here before the condo we rented became available. The rooms are very traditional Mexican decor with minimal...

if you like quiet, this is not the place for you. The rooms are arranged in an L shape with the dining room below and the bar above. The noise from those areas plus the street noise and the bonging of the cathedral clock will drive you crazy as you can't close your windows because there is no air conditioning....

We just spent a week at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. This is a picturesque little hotel on a steep hill above the downtown area. Our simple and pretty room had tiled floors, arched brick ceiling and colorful wall borders. Nice view of the bay; nice afternoon breezes. Room was very clean; housekeeping is excellent. Owner is...

We stayed at Los Cuatro Vientos in 2001. On the plus side, it is cute and the rooftop bar is a wonderful spot for a late afternoon cocktail. We found the staff quite pleasant, as well. The drawbacks: Our two-room suite was dingy and dark and smelled of mold and sewage. This was definitely the hotel's worst room and we...

Really has the flavor of old Mexico - quaint, intimate and friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Price is right and restaurant food delicious. Great views from the rooftop bar of sunsets and town. Prefer its ambiance to that of the larger deluxe but more commercial-type hotels.

Arrived on time with plenty of notice (numerous emails) as well as deposit for a suite for birthday celebration. Upon arrival no suite was available and management seemed dazed at best. The door to our very small, not very well appointed room had a lock but seemed that all you had to do was push it to get in. Concerns...
