The Blue Chairs is all about location and the very friendly staff. You can't get a better location and the staff are not just friendly, but they are fun. They're also very kind and caring. The rooms are bare bones and the water only works about 50% of the time (apparently this is just a "Mexico" thing). The food is...

Very helpful and friendly staff. Mostly male clients. Safe for lesbian travelers. This resort is best for those who want to party. The music from the roof top bar fills the entire hotel from 3 - 10:30 pm. Don't count on much sleep until after 10:30 pm. No complimentary coffee in the morning. Great beds. Choose a two-bed room for...

Not an upscale, high end hotel. They don't claim to be in the category of a Hyatt-type hotel which is exactly what we like and need when traveling. The hotel was clean, staff attentive, we felt safe, and we were close to everything! The best part: a trusted concierge (Erika) who arranged any excursion we wanted and patiently answered our...

We had a wonderful experience in PV and at Blue Chairs! We were concerned when we booked our "partial ocean view" room that we would see a sliver of the beach through our bathroom window, but this wasn't the case. The hotel is ON the beach and our balcony overlooked the crashing waves- beautiful! Boris and Salvador at the front...

We choose to stay at the Blue Chairs once again this year. There are many things that I enjoy about Blue Chairs, then there are some areas where they fall flat. Pros: Helpful, friendly staff! Right on the beach! Private beach area with restaurant, cocktail service and private security. Comfortable beds. Although spotty and sometimes out of order, they have...

Perhaps the third time is a not a charm? This is my third visit... every visit over the 3rd weekend of February. We arrived Wednesday late (connecting flight aborted takeoff on active runway) but were still accomodated and our room was not given away. Very efficient staff that kept trying to speak American gringo English but I kept responding in...

Staff: A +++ from start to finish. They were so sweet that we forgot the two times we were stuck in the old elevator cramped in with 4 other people, no lights and no air. Blue Chair Beach Time: A + Mostly great, sometimes we found it hard to get bar/wait service. Not sure if this is because we were...

I stayed at this hotel Feb 14-23. My room was on the first level so may have avoided some of the noise mentioned by other reviewers. The room must have been recently remodeled it was quite nice and comfortable. All of the staff I met at the hotel were quite friendly and helpful. The beach restaurant had good food selections...

I stayed at the Blue Chairs from February 16-21, 2012. The hotel is undergoing renovations, which is a problem as there is a lot of construction noise at times. My room had been re-done so had nice new floors and bathroom (including a new toilet and sink). The bed was nice and firm which I appreciated, though as is often...
