We loved our stay at Los Tules. Check in was easy, our room was really nice, the staff was very accommodating and the on site restaurant was wonderful . We could have never left the property and still had a great time.

It is not a "resort area" exactly; the store serves both locals and tourists. They will accept US$ for a large purchase and their rate of exchange is better than you can get from any exchange place (cambio). Use a large US denomination, but make sure it is the new money (more colors) as I have been denied with a previous issue $100 bill. For smaller purchases, use $20 US. I have used US credit cards elsewhere for groceries, but not at that exact location.
