What a dump! Oh it was cheap but for the same price you can stay at the Hote Abbey. This hotel was noisey, the bathroom were grotty and the whole room smelled of mold. The room even had a commercial bathroom deorderizer in the bathroom. The Abbey was the same price but has new, clean bathrooms and balconies. The mattresses...

Great Place to Meet Friends and enjoy vacation. Great Breakfast Buffet served daily and not the same eggs every single day. One day, you had an option for omlette and/or pancakes. Pool was kept comfortably. The community created at the hotel, 4 star. I however, rate hotels based on accomadation standards versus how much I liked the place resulting in...

Talk about misleading - this is certainly it. This is bare bones. No frills. But the staff tries hard - all except for the lady who serves breakfast. Very slow, very unconcerned about the guests, and always unpleasant. (To the owner - get someone else. I ate elsewhere because she created such unpleasantness.) The room I had - well, at...

This time I was with my new boyfriend and I would highly recommend this hotel for couples. You see, the Mercurio is a place where you feel like you are part of the family. So,...

Don't expect your worst hotel visit ever, this place is WORSE than that. That is why they have all the amenities...the rooms are small, dark, musty, uncomfortable. The first musty king size room had a toilet that faced the side of the shower stall so you had to mount the seat like a saddle, or just sit side saddle. It...

Hi, I have stayed at the Mercurio several times in the past and I reviewed it last year on this site. The Mercurio never ceases to disappoint. For this trip down, I had thought I would try something different, checked this site and read many favorable reviews of the Abbey (don't believe them) around the corner. My experience there was...

Hotel Mercurio is an old hotel in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta. It is very close to the beach, and walking distance to all the gay bars and clubs. Management and staff are very friendly, and they have done some upgrades to the hotel. The pool area is nice with a big screen tv and lounge chairs. A decent...
