Visited for one week with my family of 5. We had the family suite with the sofa bed. The room has a strange set up. There is a very large mirror that covers an entire wall upon entry which reflects the shower and toilet area. Unfortunately this means zero privacy. Whoever is in the bedroom area can see literally everything from the mirror. This made it challenging to shower and change your clothes. It was awkward to say the least with teens and preteens and adults. The sofa bed is best for young little children definitely not for a teenager or adult. The double beds were comfortable. The mini fridge was stocked daily with our requests for bottled water and sodas. The shower had great water pressure. The bathroom sink was slow to drain. The mini fridge was broken and not cold at all. Only one family pool that quickly got crowded. The pool side service was fantastic. All of the staff were very friendly and quick to bring drinks and food. The beach was nice and there are plenty of people right out front to rent jet skis, parasailing, and a banana boat ride. Prices were reasonable too. They are not affiliated with the hotel. Must have cash for these water activities. The restaurants had good food. Must have dinner reservations each night. 4 choices for dinner. Buffet, Mexican, Asian and Italian. There was a good variety of menu options. We were all satisfied with the food. No one got sick. Bottom line, we had a good time. I wouldn’t return tho. Once was enough. Next time we will stay at a different place.…
My family and I stayed 5 nights here and definitely we will come back, the COVID protocol measures that are taken here are seriously, the occupancy is no more than 25%, no buffets, everything is à la carte, ask for Armando and Alejandro in the mexican restaurant, Carlos, Ismael and Rafael in the pool area are awesome, Martha in entertainment. Due to the COVID situation most of the kids activities are closed however my kids enjoyed the stay, don’t doubt it, stay here.
Arribaaaa! Mexico was absolutely amazing! We booked this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary and one day later Alejandra sent me an email to confirm how to make our vacation more special. I loved! We booked one of the nicest suites at Grand Fiesta Americana Resorts in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel is for adults only, so all adults were in a nice "vacacion” mood. Our suite was sponsored by Moet Chandon and we had two complimentary Moet champagnes; one at the arrival in our room and the second one in a private “cabana” close to the beach. We booked the cabana every single day with no extra charges. We felt like VIP guests! "Oh, you, the couple from Moet room, congratulations...happy anniversary”, every employee told us. During the check in, they sent us to the Grand Club instead of the lobby, (the sushi there is the best). The Grand Club is a nice area on the rooftop, on the 13rd floor. Over there, the check in process is in comfortable chairs while guests can order their first margaritas. Very welcoming! ;) Our room was full of rose petals, there was a Moet in the ice, a plate with fresh fruits and a card wishing us Happy Anniversary. Beautiful! The balcony was huge and the view spectacular! Everything we needed! The next day we had a Moet treatment for couples at the Spa and a romantic dinner during the sunset at the Beach. Thanks Jonathan, Juan and Roma for making everything super special. Nice decoration, great service, love songs, no wind. It was perfect! Our days were a sequence in restaurants, swimming pools, the balcony and at the beach. I had tons of ceviches and one drink each half our. Yes, I am probably 5kg bigger now, but no regrets. Tip: Make sure you check with the concierge in advance because they were not aware about our romantic dinner. Marco helped with everything last minute. Also, repellent is helpful! The food and drinks offered at the hotel were not the best for such a VIP experience, but the price was super affordable for an all inclusive resort, so I cannot complain! It was funny that all the times I ordered a sparkling wine, the server brought me sparkling water and after I explained again that I’d like a drink, they said: "you mean champagne”. In general, we had the time of our lives in Puerto Vallarta celebrating one more anniversary. It was great to get a quick gateway and I’m crazy to travel again. Well, we didn’t have a chance to visit the city of Puerto Vallarta. Because the hotel was all inclusive and we were trying to avoid exposure to the virus, so we decided to “Keep calm and order more drinks”. We went straight from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport. On Monday at 10am we did the Covid test which is mandatory to return to the US from Mexico. Most hotels over there offered the test for free right now and the results are super fast, by fast I mean, 10 minutes! My impression traveling at this point is that everyone is adapted to use masks, carry alcohol in gel and keep the distance from each other. Everything was so smooth that even filling out a bunch of extra forms and taking the Covid test at the hotel only one day before we returned to the US was super easy. Maybe because we were in vacation mode. …
This is our second year vacationing at this resort. We have had a great time both years! The service is top notch!! Carlos, Sergio, Jessica, Alfredo and many others made sure we were well taken care of with food and drinks at the pool and beach. Misael went out of his way to make our restaurant experience top notch, along with Ramon. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with anyone there. Every employee goes out of their way to make sure your experience is excellent. The food is great! For lunch, we loved the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, governor tacos, chips and guacamole. All of the dinner places are great! Don’t hesitate to book a trip. You will not be disappointed!
