We visited Melia several times and we loved everything about that resort. There's the best staff I've ever met in resorts. They work hard to make their guests feel like at home. That's why I gave Five Stars to this hotel in my review. I wouldn't want to downgrade the resort

We had the best time at Melia Puerto Vallarta. The staff are amazing. I’d like to give a shout out to Tatiana, Mariana, Raul and Lili @ the activity center who were so friendly. If you don’t enjoy the food and atmosphere at the buffet, make a reservation at their restaurants in

This resort is good for this price range, and I’ll mention here a few items, and some info if you’re a Westjet traveler. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, shower has good pressure, you get the basic toiletries, the LCD in your room has a couple of channels in

It was expensive for what you get. Food was mediocre, not much variety and the taste was average. They don't check in on time. Our reservations were all messed up and wrong. Also my sister found roaches in her room and told the staff who didn't do much to improve the situation.

Are there any restaurants that have a dress code?
They have posted on the Italian restaurant that pants, shirt and shoes are required, but if they are not too busy they let you in with shirts, t-shirt and sandals. The other ones you are fine as long as you are not dripping and have at least flip flops, and the snack bar by the pool obviously anything goes.

My wife & I have hanged out on the weekends at the lobby bar til 3am, depending on the crowd. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 8 years. It has changed with their guest, more local revenue. Not a negative thing if family with kids don’t mine you, We don’t mine at all. It is still is a beautiful resort and the staff is great. The pool is big enough, it’s what you’re party makes out of the trip. Advise for you and your party #Take your own drinking mugs, we always travel with our copper mugs (Moscow mule mug) #Find a spot at the pool that you like and keep fresh towels for next day, towels opens at 9am. Make an effort to get up early and mark your spot with towels, books, hats etc, you will thank me later. #If you wake up late for breakfast be ready to wait in line. Beach is not white sand. Hope you have an awesome vacation.

There might be something like that in the young children’s play area. We weren’t in there as our grandsons are teenagers.
