If you're a "resort person," and you want everything provided for you, you may not like this hotel. I thought it was great. Relaxing, private pool (with a hotel bar with $1 margaritas - tip another $1 per drink, and you may get a drink...More
We booked into a 'Studio' room at Villas Vallarta 11-15 April that included a kitchenette with fridge, coffee maker, king bed, balcony, safe, A/C and free daily breakfast.
Check in was pretty quick, but they give you a card and send you to another desk...More

The buffet at Villas is only open for breakfast. It's available to those with the all inclusive plan and those that have the American plan (room and breakfast). If you are going on the all inclusive plan, the Villas breakfast buffet and all of the food venues at Cantos are available to you. If you are staying with the room and breakfast plan at Villas, it's only the breakfast buffet there that's included (they will check your wrist band and write your room number down every morning). I believe you can pay to use the Cantos, most all inclusive resorts allow for day passes or you can upgrade upon check in. There's plenty of great spots to eat close by, and a big grocery store is only about a 5-10minute walk from Villas. Hope this helps and that you have a great time!!
