As a timeshare owner at the Mayan there are a few things you should know. All the properties are gorgeous, the people are polite and courteous, the cleanliness is outstanding and their willingness to please is exceptional. That being said, this all comes at a cost. The Mayan's buffet breakfast costs over $30 per person (worth about $17 at best),...

We stayed at this resort in October 2013 and enjoyed our stay very much. We had a nice room on the 7th floor with an ocean view. We had to agree to attend a timeshare presentation with a free breakfast to get this room. Again, they tried very hard to sell us a timeshare, but we did not buy. This...

The resort was well maintained , the staff warm, hospitable , the pool area really wonderful, plenty of space to find sun or shade, Really enjoyed our buffet breakfast on the patio with views of the Pacific and Puerto Vallarta, . The marina walk with all the restaurants was so enjoyable and most evenings we ate there. The activities staff...

I stayed with friends and family for one week. We stayed in a great two bedroom suite. We did not have a great view (mostly parking lot and a bit of the marina). The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The pool was quite nice, though I prefered the beach areas and best of all a lounge like area...

Had fantastic time staying here. Overlooked the ocean and Puerto Vallarta. Sunsets wonderful and very convenient to Puerto Vallarta and to the Marina. May very good restaurants at the Marina. Maid service every night and our two bedrooms were immaculate. Service absolutely first rate. All staff treated us royally.

Just got back this Monday. Nice resort, everyone makes you feel welcome, But my God be careful with the lady by the name Stephanie (from Canada) to be more exact. After I checked in I was guided to go the next counter to get my wrist band, but its only a trick they want to sign you up to go...

Spent a week last of October. Check in : while providing credit card and I.D. Now before you get key cards you have to go to adjacent sales desk. Lady handing out tour and presentation info was interrupted by my plea. We do not want anything as we are "owners". To which I was abruptly told,"just let me do my...

Just got back in a few hours ago from the Mayan Palace and I agree with the other reviews. Nice property and many helpful and nice people working there, but they really do nickle and dime you to death. Parking, room safe, wi-fi all cost plenty of extra money. And avoid the Vida timeshare presentation if you can. It took...

Overall, we loved the room, experienced great service from the staff that we talked with on a daily basis, great pool and activities but front desk support was lacking. “The one bedroom suites in the buildings closer to the ocean are situated closer to the gym, pool, and restaurant. These also have kitchen items with cooking and refrigerators for your use. Strangely these rooms have a sliding door opening to the outside, but no seating area, whereas the main building has balconies to enjoy with a couple of outside chairs. We did not see how the one bedroom suites in that building were laid out, but probably similar to the other buildings.”

“The morning we had to depart, I accidentally left a shirt on the balcony to dry, as I had spilled food on it and rinsed it out. We remained on the property, by the pool until we had to leave for the airport. About 20 minutes after we left the room, I remembered the shirt on the balcony. I asked the concierge to ask if the cleaning staff found it and turned it in to "lost and found". Amazingly, no one knew anything about it. I was very disappointed to think the cleaning crew would not turn it in. It wasn't real expensive, but it was the idea that no one knew anything about it. I left the cleaning staff a very large tip for their services, so more the disappointment.”
