We planned a trip to Puerto Vallarta at the last minute, but we were able to book this gem for 2 nights. We stayed in quarto 8, and we loved it! There were several steep steps to the room, but the view was worth it. It had everything we needed plus a great balcony to sun and relax on. The... More

We've twice stayed at La Terraza and love the small intimate feel, lush gardens and views from the top floor (rooms and 9 and 10 have ocean views). The location is great, just one block up from the beach and an easy walk to restaurants and night life. The rooms all have small kitchens with refrigeration and the staff is... More

The location and view are just great. It's close to the beach and all kinds of restaurants and shopping. We explored some of the shops and restaurants in an ever widening circle each day we were there. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. If you need to know where to exchange money or need the best deal on a... More

La Terraza Inn is dog friendly, excellent staff, one short block to my favorite Lido Beach Clubbwhere I (and my adorable chihuahua are pampered every day) and eat well and healthy. 9 years coming to Puerto Vallarta, 2 years staying at La Terraza Inn and it simply gets better and better, just as the winters in MN get worse and... We liked the same things that other reviewers liked: the big balcony facing the beach (though the view is blocked by the hotel in front), the Mexican character of the rooms, the huge size of the room, the greenery around the hotel, the open shower, ... But there are also some drawbacks: - The big drawback and what caused us... More

We arrived in Puerto Vallarta after a 20 hour flight from Australia and it presented the most welcome relief. It is situated in Puerto Vallarta's bustling southern tourist zone only a street back from a lovely beach. The reception staff was welcoming and spoke near perfect English. The room itself was delightfully spacious and everything you would want from a... More

The rooms are not the most shiny, the beds are not the most comfortable... but, for the price it is hard to beat. You are a half-block off the beach, and there isn't a beach view, but the lush greenery makes this hotel very comfortable and relaxing. The cafe on the street level serves a great breakfast, and there is... More

We stayed at La Terraza for a three week period of time and have just returned home. It was absolutely a breathtaking property. Lush, green and Diego young man who takes care of the plants and flowers, does a fantastic job and is busy morning till night. Gorgeous property. We stayed at the very top, in #10, which is exactly... More

I have had the pleasure of staying here on 7 separate visits to Puerto Vallarta. Randy, the owner, and Cecy, the office assistant are truly amazing and have made my stays totally enjoyable. The inn is located one half block from the beach. The rooms are spotless and huge and the grounds are amazing. Truly a GREAT place to spend... More

it could be titled, simple, sweet and stairs, but that sounds negative. The rooms are stacked up a hillside with a lovely series of landscaped stairs. flowers and exotic tropical plants line them, making a vertical garden. as other reviews, the units feel more like traditional mexican homes, and while simple, very clean. I was in room number4, i had... More
