I was staying here on a long stay but over a period of 7 weeks I was moved 3 times, each to a lesser quality room until the last room had two leaks in the bathroom causing the floor to always be wet and a bad smell coming out of the shower drain. The place is old, an original hotel...

Stayed here 3 nights Feb. -- while a nice location - the facilities were pretty bad. Much in disrepair - no hot water. The kitchen sorta worked.. but we were discouraged - gas stove - no matches and the like. One spoon and one knife? We had to ask for light bulbs.... Broken tiles in many areas. Owner lives on...

Nothing fancy here. Very clean but on the spartan side. We were without hot water for a couple of days and it was a bit of a chore wrestling drinking water out of the 'management' but the friendliness of the cleaning staff and the two young men 'running' the place made up for the lack of creature comforts, which in...

I booked a suite with Bungalows Allec after reading several reviews here. It was about a month before our trip and they wanted deposit by Western union (unavailable to me). I was hesitating to send a money order so close to the time as I klnow the mail between Canada and Mexico can be very slow and I had read...

We just returned from our 4 night stay at Bungalows Allec. We had a 2 bedroom beachfront bunglow. While the rooms are not airconditioned there are ceiling fans. In fact it got a bit cool late at night. Plenty of Hot water for shower. It may be a bit hot at night after April until rainy season. The staff was...

I would definitely stay at Bungalows Allec again, it is a no frills kind of place but the location was great. We paid 500 pesos a night for 2 people in a room with 1 bed. The room had a great view of the ocean (all rooms face the ocean), it had a fridge, 2 good fans, stove top, some...

I had a very good stay at Bungalows Allec. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Playa Madera. Like most "bungalows" on Playa Madera, these are small rooms with no A/C and lukewarm water. My room had a Coleman stove and a refrigerator, and the bathroom is a tiled room with a sink/toilet/showerhead. This is what...

“I always know where I am going to stay the first night, if I plan on staying a week or more, the 2nd day I check out the other lodging in the area to see if I can do better in price and quality.”
