We were with a group, four rooms altogether. Everyone thought the hotel was very good. The rooms are a little dark, but very clean and everything worked fine. The restaurant has a varied menu and people found just what they wanted to eat. The pool was a bit cold and is in the shade most of the day, so we...

This hotel is nicely located if you want to go around and see the sights in the centro historico. However, my recommendation is to find another nicer hotel so that you enjoy the other parts of your trip as well. Cabs are cheap, so you don't have to stay in the cento historico to see it! This hotel has boring...

The beds were so hard (I mean, they felt like they were planks of wood, I'm not kidding). We had a room that faced the plaza where there were free, very fun but VERY LOUD concerts going on until after midnight. There was no hot water for my shower the next morning. And when we asked to check out other...

Staying at Hotel De Mendoza allowed us to easily visit all the attractions in the downtown area due to its great location. The hotel has a good restaurant, and the staff is very friendly.

My recent stay in the Mendoza was a first. It is a former monastery and by what I gathered a highly underappreciated building historically speaking as it was once used as a bus station. I am partial to old colonial style architecture. The Jr. Suite ($150.00 U.S.) was very roomy, richly decorated with tall stone sculptures of saints inside lit...

I stayed at the De Mendoza in October 2006 with my six-year-old daughter and my 80+ year-old mother. We chose the De Mendoza mostly for the location. As the previous reviewer noted, it is right next to the Degallado Theater, in back of which was nightly entertainment that was fabulous! We were very happy with the room, although we were...

We chose this hotel because of its location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was disappointing for the price. The bathrooms need updating. There are other hotels in the area with more character that are not so expensive.

My wife and I stayed four nights in this wonderful hotel. Our room was large, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. Yes, the water pressure was sporadic, as was the heat of the shower, and the food in the restaurant was mediocre. Offsetting these minor annoyances were the hospitable and helpful staff, the exquisite old world architecture of the building and attached...

Location, Location, Location: This hotel is located in the historical center of Guadalajara. Our room had windows on the street. We heard street noise, but none of it was overly bothersome. I LOVED being able to open the window and see what was happening on the street - the man that washed the parked cars, the wedding taking place at...

Hotel Demendoza provided an excellent location in the Centro Historico of Guadaljara. The room was individually air conditioned, remarkably quiet, and well appointed, with all the usual amenities. Two bottles of purified water were provided every day. Service was friendly and efficient. I was particularily pleased that the taxi could deliver us into the garage forecourt so we and our baggage...
