Posada Santa Fe has a beautiful spacious lobby, but my room itself was TINY, gloomy, shabby, dark, and was bereft a window, (except just below the ceiling) and the furniture looked as though it had been selected at a 50% off sale at Goodwill. I wondered, on each of the four nights I was there, whether they'd bought the bed...

I'm glad that I did not go on the reviews posted for this hotel. I had a very decent experience there. It is perfectly located in the center of the city of Guanajuato, right on the Jardín Union. My adult son and I were studying Spanish for several weeks in the nearby town of San MIguel de Allende, and took...

This Hotel has a great location but that is pretty much it. Rooms are depressing. They are filthy, i no AC (room temperature about 85 degrees), no water pressure in shower, fan did not work, no screen in windows, no hair dryer, no iron/board. This hotel is surrounded by at least 3 churches which bells rang all night long and...

We stayed at this hotel because of the location, but the hotel itself is a bad place to stay., The room was very dark, no air conditioning, and the worse was the bathroom, it had this terrible sewer smell, and the staff is not oriented to deal with turists.

We climbed up to the second floor (the famous room #42) to our room (no elevator) which was 87 degrees according to my Brookstone travel clock, a fan that sounded like a jet engine with no working on off switch, a tiny window, no working TV until we called the desk and they sent up a remote. The TV on/off...

Hotel is charming..but room smelled of mold. They need to reno rooms, beds and bathroom. We had to be moved from original room. Upgraded to a suite..not much better. Hotel staff needs to be sent to a training class on service. Manager should go with them.

Ok, the location is perfect. We got suite 25 and is perfect because our window was facing the street of the back (not the main plaza). But I promise that was the hardest bed I ever slept before! for the 2nd night we took the stuff from the couch and put it on the floor and slept there, much better....

Their webpage says the Jr Suite comes with Jacuzzi and free bottle of wine. The Jacuzzi is your gramma's old chipped steel tub, and forget the bottle of wine, it never came. The staff tells you after you arrive, you can book a common Jacuzzi for the next day. When we went to use the bath tub, we could only...

I really enjoy my stay in Guanajuato, this hotel is really good, but ask for room 34 that has a king bed, very confortable and clean. Firstly they booked to me a bad room, #42, it was dirty, noisy and dark, but everything changes when I kindly asked to change me, then the sun appears and it was the best!!...

You will read several reviews (including mine) about how great the location is of Posada Santa Fe. Check-in was smooth, room was lovely and breakfast delicious! To those reviewers that complained of the sound, get a room in the back. It's Mexico: they don't begin to party until midnight. Since the hotel located in the centre of the city (the...

“Quite noisy, you can hear the Mariachi playing in the front of the hotel. I didn't mind much since I wanted to be right at the Union Square which was bustling with fun. Tons of fun sightseeing to do all within walking distance from the hotel. ”
