My partner and I stayed at Ignacia for our wedding weekend and absolutely loved the hotel and its staff. From the second we walked in we were so taken aback by the beautiful interior design. There is so much charm in the interior design which perflect reflects the unique character of Mexico City.
A standout highlight was the warm and welcoming staff, particularly Magda, who we believe to be the general manager. She treated us with so much care and attention, making us feel like guests in her own home. She was so understanding of all the vendors that were coming and going throughout the weekend and made our stay so enjoyable. The day after our wedding we were even treated to a delicious chocolate cake to congratulate us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. After late-night festivities, we’d always be greeted by Gilberto, who always had a huge smile on his face and was so kind-hearted.
Lastly, we cannot forget to mention the breakfasts. They were unbelievably delicious and we were blown away by the culinary talent of the chefs. The presentation of breakfast and the flavors in it are something we’ll never forget and were the perfect start to our days.
Overall, our time at Ignacia was a dream and made our wedding weekend everything we wanted it to be!

What a delightful little oasis in the middle of CDMX. The gardens were beautiful, my room was very comfortable (perfect bed, roomy and clean bathroom and many glass bottles of water - so appreciated!). Breakfast was yummy and they were able to accommodate my vegetarian needs without issue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy and safe to walk to many sites, restaurants and cafes from here too. I will stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay in Mexico City. Conveniently located within walking distance to several attractions, restaurants, and bars. A delicious, fresh breakfast is provided each morning and a great daily cocktail hour in the courtyard. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. Also, the rooms are stunning!

I really hesitated to write this review because I have been dreaming about staying at this hotel for years and had such enthusiasm for it/ high hopes based on other people’s reviews.
Nobody helped me with my bags
Rooms are not as nice or updated as advertised on their website / instagram
management was unfriendly
For the price you pay here the room I stayed in is not what I expected.
They do not translate i the same as in the photos on their website.
That being said, the overall exterior and design of the hotel is very unique and beautiful. The location is excellent. Bummer that everything else wasn’t up to the standards.
I was expecting a certain level of hospitality based on the articles written about this hotel and other reviews but I was disappointed in the level of service, warmth, and friendliness.
I do understand that no hotel or person is perfect and everyone is doing their best. However, charging the price they do, the service should be excellent and the manager should go out of their way to be warm, helpful and kind.

Dear Melissa Thank you for taking the time to write this. We were actually expecting your review since the day you called asking to make modifications to your reservation a couple of days before your check-in and us telling you that according to our policies it was not possible. Right then you mentioned that we should expect a bad review from you, as a way of pressuring the reservation staff into agreeing to your demands. Given this situation we were really aware of your arrival on the day of your check in. You mention no one helped you with your bags, and that is untrue. Gerardo at front desk even joked with you about how heavy your luggage was. Also, our manager Magda offered you access to the hot tub at the roof top which at the time you seemed to really appreciate, even when this was not included in your rate. I find it interesting how you didn´t made any complains about service during the days you spent with us, which would have allowed us to do something about it and make sure you felt as comfortable as possible with your accomodations. I am very proud of the service and attention to detail provided at Ignacia. Please understand that the hotel is not responsible for any issue you had with your travel plans, our policies are very clear and you agree to them when booking with us. I am sorry you felt the need to write a bad review without any valid reason to do so, knowing this could affect a small business. We remain open and thankful to any feedback based on the actual guest experience

We did not end up staying at this hotel (we chose to stay in another part of CDMX instead, just a change based on location). However, I wanted to give Ignacia Guest House 5 stars based on their customer service alone. When I had initially booked this hotel, they made contact with me right away to see if there was anything we needed. Both Gina and Diego were so helpful and quick to respond to questions, often responding within minutes! I can only imagine that their excellent customer service would have extended to our stay. Highly recommend.

I could go on forever about this wonderful guest house. I was traveling with my adult daughter and from the moment we arrived we were treated with the most incredible service. We were spending a week in Mexico city and having Ignacia as our home base was a treat. We usually love to book Airbnb's as we love to feel at home. I have to say that this was so intimate and comfortable and beyond expectation. The common room was an amazing place to read a book or have one of their complimentary cocktails, The rooftop firepit and hot tub were amazing, The breakfast that we mostly ate on our balcony was an incredible mix of fresh fruit, Baked goods and a different hot Mexican dish every morning. We could not believe how attentive the entire staff especially Magda and Diego were. They answered all of our questions with what felt like a curated guide. We stayed in the room Balcony 1 on the second floor and the design features were stunning. The last thing that I can say is after full days of walking and eating our way around Mexico city resting our bodies on the most comfortable beds and bedding was exactly what we needed. Thank you so much.

We have just returned from our trip to Mexico City and Ignacia guest house. I had to write a review as I always do when I find somewhere exceptional! We loved our stay in the Negra Suite. The bed was huge and super comfortable, it was so quiet, we slept like babies. Getting breakfast served on our balcony was such a treat (only for the Negra suite) breakfast each morning was a two course affair. I never normally like granola but I loved it along with delicious fresh fruit, pastries and a traditional hot breakfast. Coffee each morning was spot on too, any way you like it. Our suite had a dressing area where we could hide our suitcases and an amazing marble bathroom. We noticed the other rooms had smaller beds and a lot less room than ours. Everyone we met staying at Ignacia were happy with their rooms also and said they were comfortable. Each day we had a cocktail or two sat in the courtyard, we watched a hummingbird dart about and butterflies fluttering past, it didn’t feel like the middle of a city. The area was ultra cool and easy to walk to some amazing bars and restaurants, it was also super safe even later at night. If we needed to go further afield a Uber was at the door within minutes. Even our return journey to the airport was only 130peso and 30mins (traffic was good it can be an hour worst case) Lastly the staff, each and everyone so so nice, extremely helpful and made our stay even more pleasant. Thank you to you all xx

We could not rate Casa Ignacia more highly. This place is truly a hidden oasis in the middle of Mexico City. The design of the hotel was absolutely perfect with every detail carefully thought out. Each room has its own character and charm and making you feel instantly at home. The staff are all wonderful; welcoming, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. Daily breakfast was delicious, as was the happy hour each night. The location is in the heart of the Roma Norte neighborhood just steps from Mexico City’s best restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back to stay soon.

Roma has a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. When you step inside the gates to the Ignacia Guest house the warmth of the staff, the green of the courtyard, and the beauty of the decor relax you instantly. The breakfasts were delicious, happy hour in the courtyard was a lot of fun, and the front desk staff helped us plan perfect days.

My stay at Ignacia guest house was easy, enjoyable, and efficient. I had the green room, which is painted green! The bathroom is gray and white marble and spacious with plenty of amenities, including a flat iron. The courtyard garden is exquisite. It was a perfect place for a business meeting in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The food is delicious And served in a most welcome in space. The location is in a residential area that is easy to walk. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. Street sounds (like vendors, horns) waft over the property. The rooms are not sound-proof; however I didn’t find this to be an issue as the neighborhood is quiet at night
