This hotel is a very good option for travellers who like to stay at a good but inexpensive hotel in the city centre of Mexico City. Please do not expect 4* stylish rooms or excellent service, but do expect clean, average rooms, a tasty breakfast a la carte, reasonable prices ..... just steps away from the cathedral. I can highly... More

I had a really hard time in choosing between hotel cathedral and eurostars in zona rosa. Budget is one of my concerns and I wanted the privacy of having my own room. I’m glad that I didn’t change my mind at the last minute. I made my reservation on the hotel website without providing any credit card information. I received... More

This hotel has helpfull staff, a good restaurant (which also serves in the hotel bar, including a price-friendly menu del dia until 6pm) and good service. They provide cheap taxi-service, a medium-prizes and sized travel service and perfect baggae locker and safe deposit service. The majority of the staff speaks English. Rooms are decent and always clean, but don't expect... More

Watch out for your reservation -- you may not have one! I stayed at Hotel Catedral for several nights this past July (a great time to visit Mexico!) with my two boys. We got used to the hard beds and even appreciated the central location and view onto the street below. However, the hotel cancelled our reservation when we arrived... More

We have stayed 3 nights in september 2006 in the Catedral Hotel in Mexico and we really enjoyed it ! All the requirements for a quick visit of Mexico city are there: - Mexico is a huge city with many places to see and this hotel is at 5 minutes from the Zocalo, 5 min from the centro historico and... I stayed there for 3 nights with 3 of my adult boys. We had one room with 2 beds. The room was priced at an excellent price of only 68 dollars per night. The bathroom was very clean but very small. The toliet was crammed in the corner with very little room to stretch your feet. The room was so... More

We changed our hotel plans to Hotel Catedral based on TripAdvisor's reviews, and are very glad we did. We paid under $300 for the five nights, with a 10% discount for paying in cash (US or Mexican). We were in Mexico City July 21-26, 06. Hotel Catedral is an excellent location from which to explore the Zocalo area, Templo Mayor... More

I just spent one night at Hotel Catedral. It is in a great location only 2 blocks from the Zocalo - just behind the cathedral. The street it is on is pretty boring, however, with mainly bookstores. You have to walk to the Zocalo to find restaurants and shops. The staff were very pleasant and the room was a huge... More
