I stayed at this hotel for a few days last week. The location is right in the heart of the central historic district across from the metropolitan cathedral. It is a bit of a challenge to find on your own and my taxi driver had to drop me off a couple blocks away due to road closures. I do not...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days in November. We had a very late arrival due to airline schedules. We took an airport taxi and it was after 1am when we got to the downtown area. Since this hotel entrance is on a pedestrian only walkway, the cabs can't pull up to the door. On top of that,...

A really central location, so expect some noise. It is a real traditional colonial styled hotel, but this adds to its charm with tilled floors staircases and a lift which is of the last century. Breakfast is taken from the roof terrace, great views. For an evening meal the food is probably better else where. The staff are really friendly...

Having read some of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. I was really pleased to see many of the reviews weren't correct. It's a beautiful old hotel, the staff and service were fantastic at all times. Yes some rooms look into the courtyard (we had one) but that's the style of many Mexican buildings and hotels.

This hotel is in front of the Zocalo square. It is close to the restaurants and shops. The hotel is beautiful inside with an older feel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room did not have air conditioning so we opened the windows at night which opens to a great view of the square. We were exposed to the nightly...

When you enter the lobby you realise you are entering another world. The lift to the terrace restaurant with the lift attendant in full uniform is an experience in itself. The view of the UNESCO centro square from the terrace is a great experience.Dinner and drinks were enjoyable and the waiters were very earnest. The food wont win any awards but...

This hotel was the most economical for our trip to Mexico City, and honestly we really got our money's worth. I wanted a hotel in el zocalo and we decided on this one. We felt very safe every night at our hotel and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Especially for getting us a safe taxi when we needed...We...

Just by Zocalo and can walk to La Opera, Café Tacuba, Sanborns de los Azulejos and other places in Centro Historico. Also many museums and markets nearby. Zocalo metro station is a few yard away to get anywhere in the city by Metro.

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. It's in a lovely historic building with all the issues that entails (fewer outlets, no HVAC not that it matters, and variable water pressure). all rooms have windows to regulate temp, but It's built around a central courtyard so interior rooms open onto common space. Staying alone, and as a woman, I...
