A group of 12- 2 nights at this hotel while our friends from US visited Mexico, I was confident based in the brand Best Western; It's promoted as 4 stars hotel. The hotel is taking advantage as it has 'prestige' in Mexico as it was for sure a very good hotel but long time ago. The rooms we had are...

I appreciated the hotel's location as well as the history contained in the building. Loved the elevator. I loved looking down on the active streets below from our balcony as well as dining in the roof top restaurant overlooking the square. What I didn't like...the noise...it was incredibly noisy from the streets below (though it did tame down about 11...

It was our last night in Mexico City and we wanted to pass a relaxing evening. We have noticed that hotel with the terrace overlooking the main square, and I have also read some good reviews about it, so we didn't want to keep looking around any more. After a day spent walking and sightseeing, after all the crowded streets,...

The hotel is in such a beautiful old building. The interiors are really something, and the views of the square are amazing. As far as the rooms go, the bathrooms are cool and old timey, but the beds -omg- THE BEDS are kind of a joke and might be actually made from planks of wood with a fitted sheet over...

Just back from a 5 day stay here. First off, let me say that I am a really low-maintenance traveler. I'm pretty easy to please; I just want a safe, fairly comfortable base to explore from. I've stayed in hostels all over the world, dormitories, monasteries, slept on floors, on ferries, in train stations, in tents, etc. This place had...

This place is an excellent base for a vacation trip, it is right on the hearth of Mexico city, so the location couldn't be better. The entrance is to the side of calle Madero, beware though this is an old building with all installations, even the elevator is of the kind were a person hast to open/close the door and...

The Magestic Hotel is right on the corner of Avenido Madero and the Zocalo. Although I don't stay at this Best Western property (prices are much too high in my opinion), I do stop in to the the roof-top bar whenever I'm in Mexico City. There are few better places in the capital to enjoy a cold beer (at reasonable...

Located just in the Plaza de la República, that can be taken as a very good location. The saff was nice and helpfull but the hotel as in previous reviews it is really old and not so comfortable. The bed was a little hard to sleep and there were insects in the bathroom, hot water slow to run so it...

Definitely have to agree with the earlier reviews pointing out that the personnel doesn't know what's going on. When I first arrived the phone didn't work, the internet is sporadic throughout the stay, there was no coffee maker, and the noise is intolerable. I asked the front desk worker to quiet down a student group shouting in the lobby and...

If you want a box, stay somewhere expensive. If you want soul, stay here. Right on the edge of the Zocalo, its location is perfect. Yrs, it was a little noisy the night a big group of students stayed also, but sleeping tablets took care of that. The staff speak good English and are so helpful. Try it, if only...
