We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Casa de la Luna. It sits in the middle of the historic district where there is much to do and see. We enjoyed the lively neighborhood of businesses and spent one whole day just walking the streets and looking in stores where people actually shop. We were near the "all things internet" street...

I arrived in Mexico City on a Saturday without a reservation and went to four different hotels which were all full until I came upon La Casa de la Luna. The hotel is located in a beautiful colonial era building in the heart of the Centro Historico. I got a very good rate on my single room. The room was...

Right in the middle of the action .Bars restaurants, shops in other words.... the great Mexican life style. Our room had 4 double beds which we shared between 5 people for USD 80 per night . Very spacious. Clean . Towels a little tired. HOWEVER, this room is at the front( great to overlook the street). but very noisy....The staff...

I stayed at Casa de la Luna for 4 days and found it a good, clean inexpensive choice. I never had any problems with the cleanliness of my room, the staff were all friendly and willing to extend any help I needed (calling a cab, giving directions). The rooms are basic, but for me a hotel room is somewhere to...

First I ventured to this hotel because my original Hotel Principado Zona Rosa could not find my reservation and did not want to honor my original price quote. Thank god for that since I found a hidden gem within the historical district in Mexico City. As for Hotel Principado I would not stay there again even if they offered a...

Altough the room was fine when compared to price, we had a lot of problems with their cleanliness, the floor was so dirty that it was imposible to walk without shoes. I asked 3 times for one entire week to the staff to clean our room throughly and they were very rude, and did not clean it anyway. Aside from...

We needed a place for one night in Mexico City and thought the description of this hotel matched our needs. It sounded convenient to the airport and had nice looking rooms. Unfortunately it was a long drive and is not in a great part of town. The staff was friendly and the room was fine. The downside was the noise...

Centrally located, clean, economical, safe, with helpful and honest staff... and honest. When I called to confirm my reservation, the receptionist honestly told me that at times they had had problems with electricity because of some construction in the area (NOT their fault as Christine S said in an earlier review), Everything was perfectly fine during my recent stay of...

I can't understand the reviews I've read. When we arrived there was no energy and we couldn't stay. The entrance and reception were horrible and we couldn't see the interior of the hotel. The male receptionist couldn't provide us with a document stating that it was their fault that we weren't staying and I had already paid for 4 nights....
