Our room was very spacious and well appointed. We had a gorgeous view of the city. Since we were there for business at the start of the trip - we appreciated the work space area. There was plenty of closet space and places to store luggage so the room stayed tidy and uncluttered. The layout of the bathroom was also ideal.
Excellent location, courteous service, upscale facilities. Really enjoyed the view and amenities of the Cityzen lounge. Thank you Santiago, Dillon, and particularly Maria Godoy for your outstanding service and hospitality!
I love this hotel, not only is it so beautiful and new but most importantly the staff really make you feel welcome! The staff is the BEST, always smiling and offering to help with absolutely anything you may need or want. There was a minor mix up one time and the staff at the Millesime club surprised us the next day with little gifts! I mean I have never in my life seen such thoughtfulness! Andres will welcome you with the most amazing smile and energy. Everyone at the Millesime club esp Dylan, and last but not least the wonderful Can Sarai (or Cynthia) who is just a breath of fresh air. She would welcome us to the hotel or wave us off and also gave us the most beautiful handmade cards, the most thoughtful token. SO, I know this was long-winded, but I have never met more friendly and just LOVELY staff ever. If you're on the fence, just do it, book with them! …
I wanted to leave them a 5 star review, but when the bed literally sags like the back of a broken down horse, it's impossible. It was the WORST mattress we've ever experienced in a hotel of this caliber - very, very disappointing.
I recently stayed with my friends for the first time in Mexico City and I should say that this is now going to be THE hotel for all my further trips. Room was huge, impressive views everywhere you look around, and extremly helpfull staff in all areas. Special mentions to all the Balta team, who received us every morning with a smile, the guys in the entrance Uriel and Ivan, and Pablo in guest relations, who welcomed us so gently at our check-in and sorprised us with a mezcal gift on our last day. Thanks to everyone.
Had a wonderful time at the rooftop bar! The view is beautiful, the cocktails and the food are very good and the service is great. Amaury and Ivan took good care of the guests. Would recommend to go and watch the sunset here!
It's hard to summarize my recent stay at the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma. To summarize the positive points: the building itself is beautiful and our junior suite on the 37th floor was spacious and clean and had a spectacular view of the Angel of Independence and Chapultepec Park. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom beautiful, with a large soaking tub overlooking Mexico City and an open shower. It was a pleasure coming back to the room at the end of each day. The location is great - we walked around in the evenings and it felt like a safe and interesting neighborhood. Most of the staff are really kind and friendly and really go out of their way to be helpful, especially Juan Pablo of guest relations. Balta Restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and the staff work hard to provide a great experience, especially Rico. Despite being a busy hotel, the rooms were quiet - there aren't many of them on each floor and we never heard another guest from our room, which was wonderful. Now to summarize the negatives, which were not insubstantial in a hotel of this quality: we had a number of issues with the room, including a lack of clean water the first night, with the shower and bathtub running dark brown water, even though we left the water on for about 15 minutes before we stopped due to concerns about wasting water. We were not able to shower/bathe after a long day of traveling due to this. This was compounded by the fact that the phone in the room was not working for the first 3 days of our stay, requiring us to go down to the lobby (which took at least 5-10 minutes each way since we were on the 37th floor and the lobby is on floor 14) to notify the staff of issues. Still, even though people were sent to fix the problem, the phone remained nonfunctional until the last evening of our stay. The hotel staff were apologetic about this, and gave us a bottle of wine and some ice cream to compensate for this, which was very nice of them. After checkout, I noticed that the bill for our stay was higher than it should be - there seems to be poor communication between the Sofitel/Accor website and the individual hotel, and they did not register that I had already made a payment on booking for about a third of the total room charge, os they double charged me for this amount - this is still awaiting resolution, but should not have happened at all in a high-end international hotel like this. I have no doubt they will resolve this problem, as I have documentation of the issue, but it is a great and unnecessary hassle to have to deal with this after checkout. So in summary, a beautiful hotel with a great location, great atmosphere, and generally lovely staff, marred by some operational and functional glitches that made our stay far from perfect.…
Aside from a state of the art facility with amazing city views and a pool that will take your breath away, what blew my mind most was the quality of the service of the individuals at the hotel. From the second you pull up until the second you leave, every member of the staff you will speak to will be courteous, helpful, and full of positive energy. We arranged a corporate retreat at this establishment which we do around the world and this service was by far the best in overall quality.
We have visited many Sofitel properties, what is standing out for Sofitel Mexico City is their service. Attentive service throughout, from concierge, reception to Club Millésime (exclusive lounge opens for breakfast and drinks with nibbles in the evening). Worth to give a shout-out to the team in Club Millésime: Natalia and Dylan surprised us with an anniversary gift, Maria and Santiago also made us very welcoming. Their service is to every detail, 5 stars!
From the moment we walked into the Sofitel Reforma in Mexico City, the staff and assistance was first rate. We loved the location of the hotel, and our room was beautiful, spacious, and bright with a fabulous view of the city. To say that the concierge , front desk , and valet staff was a 10 wouldn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how fabulous they really are. When the road was closed due to an event, the Bellman called our Uber driver and met him in the middle of the street and guided him to us at the back of the hotel so we could arrive to dinner on time. The rooftop bar and Balta were outstanding. The views at Cityzen Bar are amazing at night and we had breakfast at Balta most mornings and it was fabulous. It was our first time in Mexico City and staying at the Sofitel made our vacation so warm and memorable ! Such a good experience that we were sad to leave. Already spreading the word to friends and family. We took Ubers everywhere, and the location of the hotel is very central. You can get to Roma Norte, Polanco, or Condessa in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. We are already looking forward to going back next year and of course staying at the Sofitel. We relied on the concierge for all of our reservations and tours and they certainly made everything easy and were very informative. You will have a very memorable time !…
