We had a 17 hour layover in Mexico City traveling from Santa Maria Huatulco, back to Maine. I had found Stella B&B by searching '24 hours in Mexico City', and reading a great NYT article. We got out of the airport and to Stella later then we had planned, (9:30 pm), but Victoria was waiting to greet us! She brought...

I booked the place reading about it on NYT article (It seems to have bought them a lot of business, another gentleman who writes for a travel website whom I met there, also picked the place based on reading about it on NYT). I was torn between the two mentioned in the article and decided on Stella- bad mistake. The...

I was excited to stay at the Stella B&B after reading about it in the NY Times. I was however, extremely disappointed and would recommend that you avoid staying there. I love B&B's and Inns and have stayed at many all over the US and abroad. I arrived to find out that the room I was supposed to have for...

We recently stayed here for a long weekend get away and what a treat it was. Stella B&B is located in the Condesa neighborhood about a block away from an awesome park. The entire neighborhood is tree-lined with a path down the middle of the boulevard which was great for walks. There are always people out walking their dogs, running,...

Small, intimate and comfortable. One feels part of this special and very safe neighborhood. Only one block from a supermarket. Breakfast offerings are tasty especially when toast topped with spinach, fried egg and avocado is offered. Management is very accommodating and the staff are eager to please. Great restaurants close by. Try Azul Condessa and Rojo. B & B is...

Whenever I think of my recent stay at the Stella B and B, I smile. It's on a tree-lined avenue in a quiet neighborhood of Mexico City with wonderful restaurants and gorgeous nineteenth and twentieth century architecture.

I had stayed here before and had a good stay, although the service was very uneven then, and this time was much worse. I had a reservation and told them I would arrive at 9pm, but when I arrived, no one answered the door or phone or email. I tried for 40 minutes. I was alone at night on the...

We spent a week there on our honeymoon. It was the best location in CDMX. The breakfast every day was delicious, everyone we worked with was super nice & helpful, and the price was totally reasonable.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at Stella B&B. We spent 5 nights in room number 1. It was the perfect place for what we were looking for.... clean, central and a tasty breakfast in the morning. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice and we felt the room was very cozy. The neighborhood is beautiful and...

I recently stayed 5 nights at Stella. The hotel is tucked away on Avenue Amsterdam, a leafy road in the Condessa area. Location is a big plus. The neighborhood is lively and fun to explore, dozens of good restaurants at various price-points are within walking distance. The decor is nice and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Stella is a bed and breakfast located on Amsterdam Avenue in the Condesa neighborhood, Mexico City. The house was designed and built in 1930 by Francisco Serrano, one of the great architects of his generation, who built the Edificio Basurto and Pasaje Polanco, among other Mexico City landmarks. The house was restored in 2010, respecting the original design and period finishes. The décor at Stella mixes art deco and vintage furniture with a stunning collection of Mexican contemporary art. It is clear that each piece of furniture, lighting and artwork has been chosen carefully to complement its specific space. Stella has seven rooms, four in the main house and three in a separate guest house. The hotel uses its own water treatment plant, a rain water retrieval system and solar panels as part of our commitment to the environment. ... more   less
