We stayed for an enjoyable 4 nights at the Quinta Real Oaxaca. The hotel is situated in an ideal location with most of Oaxaca's attractions within walking distance. The room itself had plenty of charm as one would expect from an over 400 year old former convent. The room itself was fine, although a little dark since there was only...

This former convent is a spacious beautiful setting for a very comfortable hotel. We were fortunate to be there on a Friday so we could see the dancers from the 8 regions of Oaxaca- a must see if you are there. Room was comfortable and food very good. Excellent service at all times, especially from Vincente, who ensured my gluten...

The hotel was excelent in every way, very relaxing, breakfast buffet was amazing, clean room, nice comfortable beds and excelent service. It is amazing that you can stay in a historic building such as in this hotel, the building is extremely beautiful. The rooms are rustic but you have to have on mind that you are staying in an old...

Peaceful embrace in this little bustle of a city. Every night I came home walking through the doors was both remarkably restful and architecturally enriching. The former monastery was designed for contemplation and the hotel has honoured it's past by designing small artful public spaces and tradition courtyard rooms. Clean respectful service and a front desk going to great lengths...

Our bad experience with this property began at check in. We had booked two rooms for our party of 4 adults (2 grandparent, 2 parents) and 2 children for our two night stay in Oaxaca city, however on checking in were told that three rooms had been booked, and that we would be charged for three regardless since the cancellation...

Beautiful hotel, nightly rate was reasonable, great customer service, and guelaguetza night was also nice but the hotel is in a busy neighborhood so expect to hear a lot of noise at night and The chapel, which used for other events doesn't look like a chapel anymore so that was kind of disappointing, but would definitely stay there again.

I give this hotel five stars customer service because of one person in particular, is José Solares Villalobos. Exceptional service and care for any and all questions. This person deserves recognition above and beyond the normal hospitality staff. Ask for him at the restaurant or by name! Exceptional!!!

This hotel was originally a convent built in the XVIth century. It was renovated in the mid-to-late 1970s into a hotel. The building, it's hallways, Bougainvillea covered courtyards, restaurants, etc are truly beautiful. My friends and I booked "Exterior View Master Suites", which are not "suites" in the traditional sense. They are rooms that are slightly larger than the regular...

Stayed for 3 nights end of February. Somewhat irritated to be told on arrival that our 'suite' (room) had 2 double beds and that there was no other room available with one large bed, only one chair though! However, a very comfortable and excellent nights sleep, 2 windows one facing onto quiet side street and another overlooking courtyard but room...

Colonial elegance, excellent service, charming rooms, well appointed, excellent beds, charming atmosphere. What more can I say? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The first room we were in had beautiful old Mexican tile in the large bathroom, but on Friday night the outside room was a bit noisy from street traffic. We were moved to an interior room near the...
