We were received with a complimentary shot of good mezcal...a great welcome after a day of travel. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very good. The rooms are a bit 'cave' and the place can be a bit noisy...but overall, it's a good option in Oaxaca.

We were there for los Dias de los muertos. We arrived at 630am. And they were kind enough to give a room to have a shower. Our room was on the ground floor, quite noisy and dark. Given the opportunity choose the first floor and a suite. Breakfast is delicious but I would take it easy on the 7:30 start; more...

While walking on Oaxaca streets, a heavy rain obliged me to seek for cover. So I entered in a hotel named Azul in Abasolo st. It was lunch time and I was starving, so i asked for the resto. What a nice surprise!!! They have a wonderful collection of home made beers and a variety of mezcal brands. I also...

If you are looking for a nice rest, this is not the place. Hotel is available for leased to locals yo hold their private parties at common areas. This is a boutique and small hotel, therefore you can hear the music very loud inside your room. W

Dear Saul, Thank you for your coments, our guests´opinions are very important to us. Indeed we were hosting a special dinner to celebrate Mexicos National Holiday, which our guests appreciate very much. I stayed here over New Years and I absolutely loved the place. The rooms are super cool, the patio has the best vibe and I even kept the bottle of water. I took pictures of every single detail as everything was just so cool. I wish I oculd have stayed here longer! there are so many amazing places to stay...

I was only able to book the standard category due to budget constraints for myself and my family (3 rooms in total) and I must confess I was a bit worried that the rooms would be too plain and boring. They were not. The photos online really don't do it any justice - the hotel is just beautiful, tastefully decorated...

This is a lovely hotel, but perhaps takes its "design cred" a little too seriously. Minimalist interiors and sort of odd window/shutters that make the room either dark or open to the courtyard. Bed is comfy and extra wide, but my 6-foot-tall husband's feet hung off the end. These are minor things. The breakfast was fantastic and staff very friendly....

Hotel Azul is a well designed/decorated boutique hotel that is centrally located and is a an easy walk to the historical town center. Our room (#11) was not huge but was comfortable and there are many thoughtful amenities (free minibar/snacks, cute bathroom toiletries, welcome tequila, WIFI, etc.), the free breakfast was delicious, and the public areas of the hotel (restaurant,...

We had a great stay at the Hotel Azul. The property is beautiful and our room, the Villalobos Suite, was nicely furnished and very spacious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with booking restaurant reservations, cooking classes and a driver to take us to some places outside the city. The hotel is located on a quiet street but just...
