My husband and I came here for lunch. The atmosphere was cozy upstairs yet elegant. We had wild mushroom soup (excellent), ceviche in poblano and the suckling pig. All excellent! Next time we will try the grilled octopus, it looked good.

We had an excellent dinner at Casa Oaxaca. Our group was originally only going to stop for drinks at their roof top patio but after reviewing their menu we decided to stay for dinner. Casa Oaxaca patio is wonderful place to enjoy a great dinner in a special location, with a beautiful view of the Santa Domingo church. The menu...

Wonderful atmosphere on the roof terrace. The food was excellent but the service slow. The mole negro was great as well as the corn tamales. Would recommend you make reservations. In the historic area.

I convinced my friends to stay at Casa Oaxaca because of its reviews. They all thanked me for that and we have a lovely stay, it's perfectly located if you want to get to know the city on foot, they offered the best breakfast in the city and if I ever go back to Oaxaca there's no other place I...

We loved this hotel and the people who cook and make this place operate so beautifully. The room we had was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect for investigating the city and the many interesting opportunities it provides. The best thing, possibly, was the food. There is a lot of good food in Oaxaca, but the kitchen...

We were exceedingly pleased with our stay at Casa Oaxaca. We stayed for 8 nights in a lovely suite. The staff was professional, friendly and very solicitous. By the time we left we felt right at home and the staff felt like family. Their gourmet breakfasts were more than generous, delicious and beautifully served. Everyday a different sweet bread was...

The perfect way to end our two weeks in Oaxaca. Outstanding food and environment. Always fun to actually see a chef at the restaurant. My one call out would be that the service was a bit too hovering and quick to pull dishes and glasses that we weren't finished with. Also would like a course cleared at one time, rather...

This place had it all: location, architecture, charm, hospitality and intimacy: only nine rooms. There is a bar, restaurant and pool on property too. Casa Oaxaca is just down the street from the boyhood home of Mexico's five-term term president, Benito Juarez. It's an easy walk to the City's plaza and Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral. Oaxaca City is...

Sometimes a hotel is so good, you just don't know where to start, and Casa Oaxaca makes the list. Reception was smooth, casual, and always friendly with lots of great recommendations. Job & Carlos were always helpful and arranged reservations, taxis, really anything we needed, always with a smile too. I was lucky enough to stay in two different rooms...
