Pleasant staff. Interior rooms have windows only onto the patio. Spacious, but a bit dark. Trade-off of light vs. noise.. Clean. Toilet/shower doors don't give much privacy. Did not use the restaurant. Parking will cost you $140 pesos a day extra. Very close to cathedral, tourist corridor, main square. Next door is a great handicraft store with articles made by... More

Located about midway between the Zocalo/Catedral and the Santo Domingo plaza, the hotel location is ideal for tourists and gourmands (like us). Our room was off the street so that noise was not a problem, even during the raucous Guelaguetza festival. The room was spacious, the bathroom beautifully tiled and arranged so that two could use it at the same... More

We enjoyed our stay in may 2013. The room size is convenient as well as the room is clean. The location is very good, all places of interest are easily reachable by a short walk. However there are some points that were not that good, the room was dark, not having any window, no daylight. The shower was very cold... More

I flew down to Oaxaca for 'the day' and managed to check in early (leaving DF in in the extremely early hours left me feeling like I needed another morning shower). The hotel was most comfortable with a spacious room and great bathroom. Had breakfast in the courtyard and the food was most acceptable, My early arrival was well managed... More

I stayed in a master suite which was comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was very large with a nice jacuzzi. The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but some people like a hard mattress. It was very clean and the staff was gracious. I really liked the location which was one block away from the andador turistico.... More

Booked 5 nights stayed two, after irritations were handled poorly or not at all by staff who meant well but delivered little. Room was nicely appointed and quiet at night, but few tourists want their outlook wholly obscured by opaque glass windows. In the echoing courtyards onto which all rooms face, piped thirty year old rock ballad music played until... More

We stayed five nights in three different rooms in this hotel. On the plus side it was clean, reasonably spacious, reasonably pleasant, and well located. Negatives were: - odd glass doors to the toilet and shower which didn't really give much privacy - depending on the room, slightly irritating inconvenient design like awkwardly located toilet paper that you could barely... We choose this place after leaving another hotel nearby. I cant remember the name of the bad one, unfortunately, but this second option was very good and we vere satisfied. Rooms spacious, interesting design for bathrooms, good beds. nice breakfast. Staff we spoke to were vrey pleasant andwilling to help. I would gladly repeat. Sometimes a bit noisy due to... More

I stayed at the San Domingo room and it's very dark. The only windows are facing the corridor and they are all screened for privacy so you can't see outside. There is skylight in the bathroom but also no window. It's like staying in a cellar. Good for 1 night for the experience but it was kinda depressing after the... More

The rooms here each have individual names, and are located around a main courtyard like most hotels in Mexico. Our room was the first on the left on the ground floor. The rooms are lovely, with a comfortable bed, cushy arm chair and a desk. Television and ac worked fine. Decor is great, and we even got complimentary Oaxacan chocolate... More
