best experience: good atmosphere, good breakfast with great Cafe de Olla, lovely and quiet courtyards with trees and birds, bad experiences: none!!! good located near the "Llano"-park and the ADO-busstation, all "must-see's" in the inner-city within a 15-minutes-walk, suggested restaurants nearby.

Decent rooms and a good location close to Park Benito Juarez. However, unfortunately the young man at the front desk was rude, so it's hard to recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for my first week in Oaxaca with a friend. For my second week I stayed with another friend at a more upscale B&B (more $$) a few blocks away. I must say despite the sleek tile bath and gourmet breakfast at the second weeds lodging, I liked Mariposas better. I missed the friendly casual atmosphere, the ability...

We intended to stay at Las Mariposas for just a couple of nights, but their fine accommodations and lovely staff were part of the reason we stayed in the city for a few extra days. One the most comfortable hotels I've stayed in anywhere.

Our room was quite small and basic but very clean and had a large bathroom. Rooms are located around a pretty courtyard with lots of plants and hammocks - a nice place to chill out. Close to the centre but quiet location. Lots of nice touches and helpful advice from the hotel staff.

This hotel has a good location, less than 10mins from central squares. It is built around a charming courtyard where they serve complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings and have free wifi. Rooms are, I think, all the same price but vary quite a lot. We took their last room but the only natural light was from the glass door...

A friend and I stayed at Las Mariposas for two weeks in November, and I returned for another week in December. I recommend this B & B very highly. The rooms are very comfortable, some with kitchenettes, and kept very clean. The common area where breakfast is served is a great place to meet other travelers. The quiet time after...

My husband and I stayed for one week , leaving on December 26. Our bed was very comfortable, the little kitchenette was ideal for us to keep snacks, drinks and some meal items. Contrary to other reviewers we had no problem with hot water and enjoyed the large shower that supplied hot water and good water pressure. The breakfasts are...

We stayed at Las Mariposas for 6 nights during Day of the Dead festivities. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Although the hotel is on a very busy street, our room was very quiet. The hotel enforces "quiet hours" after 10:00 pm, which some reviewers seem put off by, but which was very welcome to us. This is the...

We stayed at Las mariposas for one week. We found it to be an excellent compromise between value and quality. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The place is well maintained with two very cozy interior court yards suitable for afternoon or evening chats with other guests. This is a B&B with an acceptable morning meal in the “continental”...
