This little gem is a short walk from the zocalo. My room was very cheerful and bright. The whole place is very clean. The rooftop terrace is lovely. A great self-serve breakfast is served there every morning for a minimal cost, you can make tea or coffee whenever you like, there are beer and soft drinks in the fridge for... More

We stayed at Hotel Azucenas over Day of the Dead, and really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about really anything Oaxaca-related. We even left and forgot a souvenir we had bought after we checked out, and they immediately emailed us about it so we were able to come back to get it. The rooms felt very... More

This small place tries to be natural and give a feeling of staying in a family house. The staff is very trusting and like to explain about the city. Although the place is not too much interesting, it is well located, has comfortable clean rooms which have plenty of space for such a budget hotel. It was really quiet and... More

Really nice place with helpful and friendly staff. Upstairs rooms were nicest with access to patio and kitchen. It's a short walk into the city center and other interesting places. Only stayed two nights but both were nice. Transportation was easily arranged from front desk.

Hi mattf71 - thanks for writing...we're really glad you enjoyed the hotel! It's true there are 2 rooms on the second floor...but all our other rooms open into our plant-filled interior courtyard - and also have access to the roof top garden and kitchen. Donna and the staff of Hotel Azucenas More

My husband and I loved this hotel. It is in a really good location - 5 minutes walk to the centre of Oaxaca. Beautiful building and courtyard - feels like an oasis of calm from the city. The rooms were simple but for of character - we loved our room 10. The terrace is just gorgeous and a great place... More

Azucenas is a charming and clean B&B on a quiet street in the centro. The staff is helpful for suggestions of where to go and help troubleshoot if you have a problem. There's a relaxing spacious rooftop patio with a view of town (since the hotel is up on a modest hill) and this is a good place to hang... More
