Stayed in a 4 person room with a friend. Great and helpful staff. Beautiful rooftop night view. The hostel has a lovely courtyard, a perfect vibe, and a location that cannot be beat. If back in Oaxaca, we would definitely stay again.

Very friendly staff, relaxed and chilled environment and nice and clean installations. Just a couple of blocks from Oaxaca´s city center. Stood there on a private room with my girl and the prices for private rooms are really cheap comparing to the near by hostels. Definitely recommend it

My husband and I booked five nights at Cielo Rojo over Day of the Dead based on great online reviews. A few days before we were due to arrive I had a look at the recent reviews (as we had booked months in advance) and was a little surprised by some of the bad comments so lowered my expectations however...

The beds were the worst we have come across so far in Mexico. To make matters worse the music was pumping until mid morning. The hostel manager was helpful and the breakfast was decent. The Day of the Dead tour we did run by the hostel was poorly run and not very informative - more just transport.

I stayed two days in Oaxaca in Cielo Rojo, there are many different backpackers all over the world which let you feel like home, it is located close to the city center and the staff is friendly but sometimes away. Furthermore the beds are really old and I cannot recommend a tour made by the hostel which is really expensive....

This hostel is remarkable not only for the good location or the great atmosphere but the staff is very helpful and they have the accurate information of what to do, where to go, what to eat, etc. Great recommendations in the center and surrounding communities.

My girlfriend & I had 2 nights here for our very brief stop in Oaxaca. We took a private room so can't comment on the dorms however our room was very large & clean which are the key things we look for. The breakfast wasn't anything special but there was freshly brewed coffee & full kitchen facilities so we were...

The overall service and experience was average for what we paid, nevertheless there are some things i should mention: On the positive side: The hostel has a beautyful and comfortable patio, really bright and at night it is really quiet. On the negative side: The matresses are quite uncomfortable, the pillows we got were pretty bad too, and the bed...
