I made a reservation for one month at villa de Campo and had to change my plans after a couple of weeks. The management reimbursed the difference at a fare rate with no arguments. The price also for two weeks can't be beaten. I got a room with a balcony and a private bath. The room was very clean and...

This is a very nice basic hotel; 6 blocks from the Zocalo; rooms are clean; there is a swimming pool and shaded garden. There are 1 bedroom apartments usually taken by snowbirds for 1-3 months in the winter. Staff is very accomodating.

We are four people and are very happy to have found this hotel. The personnel are very friendly and helpful, is located in the main pedestrian street, some blocks from the church of Santo Domingo. It has great value, we paid 800 pesos for four people. Much cheaper than other hotels offering worst quality (we stayed before in Hotel Florida...

I have stayed in oax for many years at various places, but the Villa is the best, overall. Good price, pleasant family and accomodating service staff, very clean, quiet, good location, other guests are pleasant. No availability in jan and feb, as satisfied guests return year after year.

After 10 days at the Villa del Campo, I can report that overall the place is fine -- especially for the money. The one-bedroom apartment has plenty of space and lots of light. Just be prepared for the inconveniences: a toilet that cannot accept many tissues; a kitchen with few basic implements; a feeble stove that needs matches to light...

This is a modest, clean, and affordable place to stay in Oaxaca. I went with a group of teachers on a month-long NEH institute, and many of us stayed here. The suites are large and comfortable and have a separate kitchen. A huge bottle of drinking water is provided as well as pans, dishes, and utensils. There is a small...

Although the rooms are simple, the family that owns this place is great, attentive, and respectful. The price is very affordable, especially if you are doing a month-long stay like we did. The location is also superb. It's only two blocks away from the Santo Domingo Cultural Center, plus the suites are so far back from the street, you never...

I am surprised at the first two negative reviews. This family run hotel is a great value and located just far enough from the Zocolo to allow quiet sleep. Daily maid service and a beautiful courtyard are added plus Returning guests make it difficult to get an apartment during high season.

Hotel Villa de Campo was booked for us by our language school in Oaxaca city. We only booked our first night and arrived around 8pm. The hotel was fairly disappointing to me. Nothing was BAD but it didn't feel quite clean and there was definitely a not great smell in the bathroom. For the price (of about 40 us a...
