What a beautiful hotel great rooms terrific With a terrific restaurant on site for any meal. I found value in cost although options for less money available but service is superior. Yes a bit of noise but convenience to mercados, museums and zocalo cathedral minutes away. Many main attractions adjacent make this a great place to stay. The ambience is...

The Parador San Miguel is a good option for staying down by the Zócalo and the historic part of town. It's a charming old colonial hotel on a busy street - you're in the heart of things and you're going to hear city noise unless you're in a room that's more away from things and with less access to outside...

We loved our stay at Parador San Miguel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel itself is beautiful inside, and the sundecks were a perfect place to sit and soak in the morning sun. The only issue you may encounter (if have limited mobility) is that I'm not aware of any elevator, only stairs. It was interesting to see...

We stayed here mid December and the hotel is fantastic. The rooms excellent and very clean. The service we received from the staff was beyond reproach. They all went out of their way to be of assistance. The hotel’s restaurant was excellent, but is a bit cramped and on more than one occasion, half of a table would have to...

Chose this place when I learned that all the great staff where I'd previously stayed were no longer there. Rooms are fine (though mostly dark due to colonial style architecture), very clean, good hot water and water pressure, nice products in bathroom and towels are plenty and absorbent. Bed very comfortable and linens good quality. Wifi was a bit spotty...

The hotel is in a great location ( some earlier reviews said the road was too busy, but we didn't find that a problem). The room and hotel itself are immaculately clean. Air-conditioner worked well and wasn't too loud. Most importantly the staff was great and Jorge at the front desk was very helpful to us non-Spanish speaking tourists. We...

A boutique hotel with excellent staff and service standards. Ok the rooms are small but beds are comfortable and linen great. Good food in the restaurant at very reasonable prices. Right in the heart of Oaxaca with a short walk to the square where it all happens and to all major attractions in the city. Worth staying there.

Great location! Just 2 blocks away from the Zócalo! The staff is very friendly and always ready to assist you in anything you need! Excellent service! There is valet parking, which is very helpful as the street is very busy. The premises are very charming! We stayed in a suite and the reason I do not give 5 stars is...

Very pleasant - the logia is flowered and occupied by noisy parrots. No complaints except that plugs are not supplied for plug holes - advice: use the circular plastic mats on which tumblers are placed in the bathroom. Watch out for the toilets - very narrow outlet so be careful you do not block! One can walk out and see...

This hotel is lovely and is one I will remember for a long time. We stayed here for three nights on a tour of some parts of Mexico and I loved it as soon as I walked through the door: Colourful and a bit hippy with lots of personal touches. Our room was on the 3rd floor in the corner...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With a privileged location, 20 minutes from the airport. In the historical downtown area, only a half block from the Central Alameda. The beautiful colonial-style building has three floors with 23 rooms, including four suites.Located on one of the main avenues in the city, the facade had a grand entry door of carved cedar, opening to a lovely porch with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel.A wrought iron gate opens to the hotel vestibule, where walls of ochre, terra-cotta, beige and cream combine with dark green ironwork and green granite columns to provide a dramatic backdrop for the brilliant bougainvillea and geraniums that thrive in the home's central patio. From here you can catch a hint of the spellbinding flavors of our Oaxacan kitchen. In "La Cocina" you can choose a magical dish to your specifications.Small gardens lead to the first level rooms. A majestic green granite stairway crowned with glorious stained glass leads to the second and third levels. On the second level terrace, you could relax or sunbathe accompanied by canaries in a kaleidoscope of multicolored flowers. ... more   less
