Casa Machaya was an excellent place for our family to stay in Oaxaca. The space was very comfortable and the hosts were superb. Alvin and Arlene were very knowledgeable and great resources for all of our questions. We highly recommend Casa Machaya.
I read your recommendation to take the bus to Puebla from the airport and then go on to Oaxaca. Great idea. Do you have any favorite, not super expensive, places to stay?
