We spent two nights here on a Maya tour. Staff were friendly and helpful. The general ambience of the hotel is very good. Lovely gardens, spacious bedroom, great hot shower (the latter perhaps dangerously so, but is easily adjusted with the cold tap). Unfortunately on both nights sleep was much disturbed by noise off and on for most of the...

We stayed here 1/15-1/17/2015 & had the exact opposite experience of the 2 most recent reviews posted here. Concierge service was courteous & professional; zero problems with our quick and easy check-in/check-out. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Restaurant menu was good, service was excellent even when waiters were busy with large tour groups (12-20 persons each). Purified water provided not...

horrible service! Forget the restaurant, they were without customers, three staff and we could not get served. No heat and really cold at night. Had fireplace but they had no wood one night. Next day we left three contacts for fire, and still had to remind the front desk. Serious management problems! I speak fluent Spanish so no language problem....

I don't recommend staying here for two good reasons. The first is that it is a long walk, several blocks at least, from the zocola (main area) of San Cristobal de las Casas and it takes a good half hour, if not longer. It's very inconvenient. You can't just drop in and out of this hotel during the day. You...

The room was comfortable and clean. The one we had was not facing the garden and was a little dark but that also made it more quiet. The large garden is beautiful and a good place to just relax; we saw several hummingbirds and it was quiet and peaceful. It's a few blocks from the tourist streets which suited us...

It's a great Hotel. It's a bit far from downtown San Cristobal but its well worth it. Very calming atmosphere and great gardens. Very nice place to relax. The restaurant has great food. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel it's self is beautiful.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is a beautiful place with very big gardens with trees and flowers. The rooms are good. Not very luxurious but kind of nice, and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. There is also a good restaurant for breakfast with low prices. You only need to walk like 4 blocks to...

Nice hotel. The courtyard is pleasant, and the staff is very helpful! And friendly! Unlike some other hotels we have stayed in in Mexico lately. The owner asked how we were doing! Yes, the rooms are cold, but San Cristobal is cold at night. The beds are a bit hard, that is really the only criticism I have. It is...

delightful hotel in an old colonial house. About 10 minutes easy walk from the centre of town. Rooms well equipped but cold and dark, the only downside!! The room had a fireplace but no way of lighting a fire.. that would have been nice considering the chilly climate of San Cristobal. Very attractive gardens with trees, shrubs and plenty of...

The hotel is in a lovely location so it has a view of the city from the gardens, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a drink, the surrounding building is charming and beautiful. When choosing a room ask if you can look around because some are definitely better than others. The staff at the hotel we're very...
